GUNSHOTS have reportedly been fired at a US military base in California. Several reports have emerged on social media of an “active shooter” at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) in California. The base also known as 29 Palms, is the largest US Marine Corps base.

New York's second round of antibody testing found 14.9 percent of samples to be positive, a full percentage point higher than the first round, Cuomo said Monday. That indicates even more than the 2.7 million New Yorkers identified in the first testing round may have been infected at some point. Many likely never even knew they had the virus -- and were spreading it. New York state has reported nearly 300,000 confirmed cases to date. That number seems staggering -- until you realize the actual total could be 10 times higher at minimum. Again, there were glaring variations by region,...

A train probably belonging to Kim Jong Un has been parked at the Leadership Railway Station servicing his Wonsan compound since at least April 21, according to commercial satellite imagery. The train’s presence does not prove the whereabouts of the North Korean leader or indicate anything about his health, but it does lend weight to reports that Kim is staying at an elite area on the country’s eastern coast. The approximately 250-meter long train, although partially covered by the station’s roof, can be seen at a railway station reserved for use by the Kim family. It was not present on...

Anyone who voted for more witnesses must vote for acquittal. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty. If you need more evidence than the case has not been proven and you would have to vote for acquittal. Also, if you voted for more witnesses to make your decision - you are saying the house did not do their job.
  • vanity: SCOTUS question - can a chief justice be "demoted"?

In 2005, George W. Bush appointed John Roberts to SCOTUS and also designated him as the Chief Justice, replacing the recently deceased William Rehnquist in both roles. Question: either now, or when Trump replaces the next departed justice -- can Trump change who is the Chief Justice? Because the Constitution doesn't say anything about how a person is designated to be the chief, I'm wondering if Trump could say, at any time (this is an example): "I'm nominating Amy Barrett to replace Darth Bader Ginsburg, John Roberts will become an Associate Justice, and I appoint Clarence Thomas as Chief Justice."...

he White House is considering dramatically expanding its much-litigated travel ban to additional countries amid a renewed election-year focus on immigration by President Donald Trump, according to six people familiar with the deliberations. A document outlining the plans — timed to coincide with the third anniversary of Trump’s January 2017 executive order — has been circulating the White House. But the countries that would be affected are blacked out, according to two of the people, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the measure has yet to be finalized.
  • Can You Trust What Medical Journals Publish?

I have repeatedly questioned the validity of medical journal claims in regards to politically charged issues like air pollution and climate change, as well as global warming here at AT. More recently, I showed how a major medical journal violates basic rules on scientific inquiry. There is another important problem with medical research as reported in medical journals and then often expanded by the lay press as big news: that medical journal articles are often proven wrong for unreliable results or promotion of treatments that are not beneficial or not any more efficacious than treatments they propose to replace. I...

WASHINGTON — A bare majority of the U.S. Supreme Court appeared likely Tuesday to let the Trump administration follow through on its plan to shut down DACA, the federal program that has allowed nearly 800,000 young people, known as dreamers, to avoid deportation and remain in the U.S. With hundreds of DACA supporters rallying outside — so many that police shut down the street in front of the Supreme Court — the justices heard nearly an hour and a half of oral arguments. Based on their questions, it appeared that the court's five conservatives were inclined to rule that the...

Has America Become One of the Most Evil Nations on the Entire Planet?Michael Snyder How will history remember us?  As Americans, we like to think that we are a light to the world and that other countries should be using us as a model for how to properly do things.  But the truth is that we have become unspeakably evil, and after reading this entire article I doubt that there will be anyone that will disagree with me.  And while it is certainly true that there are quite a few other nations that are also tremendously evil, none have fallen...

Former Arkansas State Senator Linda Collins-Smith was found mysteriously murdered inside her home last week, and so far, local law enforcement has been pretty silent on any possible motive or culprit. Considering she was a GOP state senator in the state where Bill and Hillary used to run wild, there’s instantly cause for suspicion, however. Now we have learned that, according to reports, Collins-Smith may very well have been close to closing in on a child trafficking ring within the Arkansas state government. CD Media reports: Former Republican Arkansas state Senator Linda Collins-Smith, who was found murdered in her home...

  • IS IT ILLEGAL TO BE PARANOID?

    02/15/2019 7:10:14 AM PST · by DIRTYSECRET · 5 replies
Higher-ups at the FBI were all involved in coup attempt. It will be proven over a long(expensive) period of time. My guess is they will get away with it like BJ's law license being revoked. Still they REALLY believed the national security of this country was at stake. They could have at least informed POTUS what was going on but if they really believed Trump was the Manchurian candidate they would feel justified. End justifies the means. It's like Hillary's intent. Something tells me their paranoia will be considered.

Ok this may be a bit sensational, but it is interesting. -- A small team of Israeli scientists think they might have found the first complete cure for cancer. “We believe we will offer in a year’s time a complete cure for cancer,” said Dan Aridor, of a new treatment being developed by his company, Accelerated Evolution Biotechnologies Ltd. (AEBi), which was founded in 2000 in the ITEK incubator in the Weizmann Science Park. AEBi developed the SoAP platform, which provides functional leads to very difficult targets. Over at the Institute for Family Studies, Nicholas Wolfinger, a sociologist at the University of Utah, has found that Americans who have only ever slept with their spouses are most likely to report being in a “very happy” marriage. Meanwhile, the lowest odds of marital happiness—about 13 percentage points lower than the one-partner women—belong to women who have had six to 10 sexual partners in their lives. For men, there’s still a dip in marital satisfaction after one partner, but it’s never as low as it gets for women,... (Skip) In an earlier analysis, Wolfinger found that women with zero...

Batman, one of DC Comics' most recognizable fictional heroes, no longer believes in God in the latest comic book issue. ScreenRant shared the storyline details for Batman #53, released on Wednesday, which comes at the conclusion of comic writer Tom King's post-Catwoman/Batman wedding arc. In the story, Catwoman leaves Batman, whose secret identity is billionaire Bruce Wayne, at the altar. This leaves Wayne in a questioning state, where he explores his life and reflects on his theological background — he had been raised as a Christian by his father, Thomas. In one exchange with another character, Wayne is asked, "Do...

Not strictly limited to politics, Snopes.com is a website that supposedly attempts to debunk and invalidate urban legends, Internet rumors and other stories of uncertain origin. Today, they are the voice of the statist globalist oligarchy. Of course, others mostly rich country-club Democrats, think otherwise. They point out the mission statement at the website. It is officially an “independent entity” privately owned by its operators. Not for profit? The owners, Barbara and David Mikkelson, have both publicly stated that they receive no funding in any form. Curious. Most curious. This is really, really interesting. You know, it sure is curious...

The media and other Trump haters can't seem to let themselves admit it, but President Donald Trump scored a big victory for the American economy on trade last week. Trump and the European Union reached a handshake deal that is designed to lower tariffs on both sides of the Atlantic. They agreed to shoot for zero tariffs. Sounds like freer and fairer trade to me. The exact details are still a bit murky, but what we do know is that the EU has pledged to lower its tariffs and other trade barriers on American soybeans, oil and gas, pharmaceutical...
