WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama says former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was both a great champion of freedom and an example to women everywhere. In a statement issued Monday by the White House, Obama said Britain's first woman prime minister showed "our daughters that there is no glass ceiling that can't be shattered."

President Barack Obama released a one-minute web video ad Thursday that features a young woman, Lena Dunham, talking about voting for the first time in a blatant allusion to a woman losing her virginity.The ad is getting a disgusted, negative response from most of those who have seen it. Cleveland police are investigating an alleged sexual assault incident Saturday at the “Occupy Cleveland” rally involving a 19-year-old female student from Parma.
