You’ve got to love it when a corporation who’s intimately involved with everyday Americans decides to stand up for their rights. Not all corporations will, in fact, many large corporations have caved in and told Moms Demand Action they’ll do anything they want so they can keep their gun hating credit cards in their stores.Well the interesting thing is that’s actually not a good way gain business.Check out the story below about what Kroger told Moms Demand Action and then notice the interesting results from their refusal to cave. During a March 25 appearance on CNBC’s Squawk Box, Kroger CFO Michael Schlotman...

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America founder Shannon Watts said that more gun control is needed and the path to securing it includes bypassing Congress. Watts suggested the pro-Second Amendment landslide in the midterm elections is not really a hindrance to her group’s goals. She also stated that just as no one gave up on immigration–even through it faced a tough road in Congress–no one should give up on gun control, either. Obama secured amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants by bypassing Congress and handling the issue on his own. According to Salon, Watts also drew parallels with...

Former late night host Jay Leno was scheduled to do an appearance at an annual event hosted by the National Shooting Sports Foundation in Connecticut this January. The Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT) focuses on pretty much what it sounds like… hunters and the gear they use to engage in the sport. Really dangerous sounding, eh? Well, to some it must have been, and the fact that the group is based in Newtown certainly bolstered their courage to complain. A petition posted by the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence accuses Leno of “helping to legitimize a crass commercialism which...

Bank Robber in a Kroeger's On freerepublic.com, a discussion about the Moms Demand Action push for a gun ban following an armed robbery of a bank inside of a Kroeger's, brought this commonly expressed question. This one was from rktman: "Uh, how would this have stopped the robbery again? Please 'splain that to us." I will explain it. MDA is playing a very long game. In order to be effective, they have to reduce the number of guns in society by large, large, amounts. They have to avoid considering any benefits gained from gun ownership. Here is how I...

Alison A. Martin works for Moms Demand Action as their NY Chapter Leader. She looks a little young to be a mom, but who knows. She had this Twitter exchange yesterday:

Don’t skateboard at Kroger – it’s against the rules. Bringing food from outside the store is also strictly prohibited. And please don’t think about grocery shopping at one of the 50 or so Kroger grocery stores in Michigan without a shirt: you run the risk of being asked to leave. But, if you’d like to peruse the produce aisles with a semi-automatic rifle slung across your shoulder, go right ahead. Kroger thinks that’s just fine in states where it is legal to openly carry guns, like Michigan. In fact, the grocery store chain has publicly stated that it doesn’t want...

Miguel at Gun Free Zone has a great post about how Moms Demand Action are busy making fudge. Fudge as in fudging the truth into some bastardized “facts” to promote their flawed message. What flavor of fudge are the Mommies making up in the kitchen? They’re trying to claim that most every mass shooting incident has not occurred in a gun-free zone. How are they coming up with that? They aren’t relying on the FBI’s definition of a mass shooting, but instead counting crime scenes in private homes.

Kroger (KR +0.18%) is the latest retailing chain to be dragged into the battle over gun rights. The anti-open carry advocacy group Moms Demand Action has issued a statement calling on the grocery company to ban openly-carried firearms in its stores.

Given the Santa Barbara killers’ hatred of women (though 4 of the 6 people killed were men), it is understandable that the topic of violence against women would be discussed. Not too surprisingly, despite the fact that half of those killed were killed by being stabbed, gun control organizations have been pushing for more gun control. In particular, Bloomberg’s Moms Demand Action makes this claim about female victims of firearm homicides. . . . It seems doubtful that Bloomberg’s Moms Demand Action could even make this comparison across all countries. The UNODC data allows you to break down murders by...

Gun control has largely been a top down effort. Michael Bloomberg’s latest announcement that he will spend another $50 million to push gun control – 2.5 times the amount spent by the NRA annually on political activities – is all too typical. Last year, gun control groups, largely due to Bloomberg’s money, outspent gun rights groups by about 7.4 to 1 on TV advertising. With a net worth of $31.2 billion, Bloomberg can afford round-the-clock armed bodyguards, but he doesn’t recognize the need for others to have armed protection. Despite his money, mayors belonging to Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns...

Western Springs and La Grange members of an anti-gun violence group are asking area businesses to post signs depicting No Guns Allowed. A new state law allows residents to carry concealed weapons, pending approval of permit applications through the Illinois State Police. The first such permits are expected to be issued beginning March 1. “I prefer to shop in places where I feel safe,” said Katherine Mudd, a Western Springs member of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. She has children, ages 7 and 9, and has been handing out postcards to area businesses.

There’s something about strong, powerful women advocating for better gun laws that really brings out the misogyny in the pro-gun movement. And with the emergence of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, pro-gunners are frothing at the mouth like never before. In a matter of weeks, Moms Demand Action blossomed into a national grassroots organization with chapters in all 50 states. That has earned Shannon and her group the enmity of pro-gun activists everywhere, as the following emails will attest to… “Have you ever heard of the 2nd amendment? what the hell is the matter with you people?...

As a freedom-loving American citizen, one might expect me to hold a vehement disgust towards Moms Demand Action, an anti-gun group of women (mothers?) that use highly-publicized gun crime to advocate for civilian disarmament. But the truth of the matter is something very different. I love this group and I love to push their writings, but not only because I support their right to exist as a supporter of true freedom. I enjoy getting the word out about Moms Demand Action because they illustrate better than I ever could what freedom-loving Americans are truly up against and how little many...
