Hi everyone. I'm thinking about taking a breather from Free Republic for a little while. Not long, I'm sure. But, I just don't want it to interfere with my job, and I already had that happen once. I'm reading and posting much too much. I think a short sabbatical should help me break this bad habit.See you all soon .... NOT DURING WORK HOURS!

Officers' safety during sniper attacks investigated Montgomery County Police Chief Charles Moose is facing new criticism -- but this time, it's not about his book deal. W-U-S-A T-V reports that the county's Fraternal Order of Police is investigating questions about officers' safety during last fall's sniper shootings. The report is said to be exploring the possibility that important information was withheld from officers patrolling the streets during the attacks. The Fraternal Order of Police isn't releasing any details about the investigation. Albany, NY (AP) -- State agricultural officials are warning consumers NOT to eat a cheese product made by a Brooklyn company because several packages tested positive for listeria contamination. The cheese product was made by Peregrina Cheese Corporation and sold primarily at stores in the New York City area. An alert was issued by the state after routine inspections by state food inspectors. Officials say the cheese could cause listeriosis if eaten. Listeriosis can cause mild flu-like symptoms in healthy individuals, but can cause meningitis and blood poisoning in others. No one has reported getting sick from the product but...

I saw a few threads here yesterday about the Inglewood cop thing. I expected to see comment posts all about revulsion at the PC media's latest propaganda. I expected to see criticism of the Uncivil rights leaders (racebaiting demogogues) that will use this to spread hatred of white people everywhere and justify criminal behavior (and of course take from our wallets). But I didn't. Instead I saw a very few brave conservatives standing up for law and order being relentlessly bashed by a much larger bunch of, well, I don't know what.
