  • PC culture causes growing rift between colleges, comedians

    Campus Reform ^ | June 1, 2018 | Nikita Vladamirov
Comedians are becoming increasingly reluctant to perform on college campuses due to a sensitive culture of political correctness, and college bookers don't seem to mind. According to VICE News report published last week, several successful comedians, including Judy Gold, Jerry Seinfeld, and Chris Rock, now avoid going to college campuses because their jokes can be deemed offensive. “Why is it that everyone has to adjust to everyone else? Don’t hire me if you don’t want to hear what I have to say,” Gold told the publication. When asked to explain how she would react if her jokes offended an audience...

Trumpism Corrupts: Roseanne Edition Jonathan V. Last 3 Min Read May 29, 2018 4:52 PM She's not even close to a conservative, but people on the right embraced her anyhow. So by now you know that ABC's Roseanne revival has been canceled after nine episodes following a Twitter outburst by the titular star in which she said of former Obama Whisperer Valerie Jarrett, "Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj." First off, let's dispense with the liberal-MSM conspiracy stuff. Yes, Roseanne was the highest-rated show on network TV for half of this season, but the show's trajectory...

I was able to pull this vintage RCA record player and some vinyl. There were a few packs of needles too. The previous owner(s) seemed to take care of it. It needs some maintenance and some fresh grease. I found a lot of technical advice for this model. It was missing a crank handle. There is a fellow out there that makes reproduction handles. I rolled the footage over the weekend and slapped this edit together earlier this morning. When I get a macro lens and some maintenance pulled, I'll do another.

(Warning: Some readers may find some passages to be disturbing) "And here's to you Mrs. Robinson, Jesus Loves You more than you will know....whoa whoa whoa" At the end of May in 1968 I went into the kitchen, sat down and ate my breakfast before heading off to school hearing those words over and over again. Simon and Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson" was a hit song, at the top of the charts, being played on the radio in my kitchen and radios everywhere. It connected with me where I was, a child eight years old, with "dee dee's" and "dah, dah's",...
  • Soylo: A Soy Wars Soyry Will Be Disney's Lowest-Earning Soy Wars Entry Yet

Headline thanks to Comics Artist Pro Secrets. If the headline is indecipherable to you, Ethan Van Sciver says that Disney is producing "soy-based entertainment" -- cucked-out movies where all the women are bad-ass and decisive and all the men are ineffectual Pajama Boys and pansexuals -- and he calls their new movie "Solo: A Star Wars Story" "Soylo: A Soy Wars Soyry." Which I think is pretty funny. They're expecting Soylo: A Soy Wars Soyry to earn the least money of any Disney Soy-based entertainment. The industry had been expecting, I thin, a $170 million domestic haul over the four-day...

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Country singer Trace Adkins will perform prior to President Donald Trump's appearance on stage during his visit to Nashville on Tuesday. Trump will be in town stumping for Rep. Marsha Blackburn, who is running for Senate. Blackburn hopes to take the seat currently filled by Senator Bob Corker. Adkins will perform before Trump takes the stage at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium for the rally. Adkins is no stranger to the president, appearing on the Celebrity Apprentice in 2008.

Van Jones like Kanye West and Roseanne Barr are now adding supporting Donald Trump and his White House. Was it expected that success attracts success? Donald Trump has been consistently winning. Trump has stated that people will become tired of winning. With all the winning people might also get tired of something else -- tired of all the insane hatred and rage thrown at them from the left. Now will the left apply pressure on Van Jones like they did with Kanye? Are they going to ostracize Van and have nothing to do with him -- just like they did...

Meek Mill bailed on a visit to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Friday after a late-night call from Jay-Z ... TMZ has learned. TMZ broke the story ... Meek agreed to travel to the White House to discuss prison reform. President Trump is hosting a Prison Reform Summit. Participants include members of Congress, various activists and, clearly, people who have become victims of the system. We're told Jay called Meek Thursday night and made it clear ... meeting with Trump would be problematic for his image and for the cause. We're told other high-profile African-Americans also called Meek and voiced serious concern....

To a small group of pump-and-dump traders with no scruples, Jordan Belfort—the poster-child for the ‘Wolf of Wall Street’—is an idol; to most others, including the judge in his case, he’s a deadbeat who’s only paid a small fraction of the tens of millions he owes his victims in restitution. Belfort is famous for being played by Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street—the already iconic 2013 film that definitively introduced us to the boiler-room beasts, and the over-the-top pump-and-dump schemers that are a black stain on the trading floor. And Wednesday, during a garnishment hearing in New York...

Teen Vogue recently published a controversial article titled, “Who is Karl Marx: Meet the Anti-Capitalist Scholar,” and promoted it on Twitter, saying that “The political philosopher turned 200-years-old on May 5, but his ideas can still teach us about the past and present.” Author Danielle Corcione vilifies “rich people” and “bosses” in the piece, while gushing that through The Communist Manifesto, Marx “inspired millions of people to resist oppressive political leaders and spark political revolutions all over the world.” Corcione interviewed a high school teacher and former professor about how they incorporate Marx’s teachings into their class curriculum. Former Drexel...

In spite of a wide array of characters with varying story lines, Marvel Studios has done a good job of weaving a common thread throughout multiple films in order to bring most of their characters together in Avengers: Infinity War. … Thanos—the chief antagonist of the film—is, of course, a murderous thug. He has tremendous power and is bent on having things his way. And “his way” means killing off half of the universe. As the film makes clear, he is motivated to do such in order to bring “balance” to what he sees as an over-populated universe. … The...

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif) called rapper Kanye West's recent favorable comments about President Trump "deeply disturbing. Polls already show that Trump's popularity with Black males has doubled over the last week. This is destabilizing the Black community and causing many to doubt the roles assigned to them by the Democratic Party." "By breaking ranks with Black leaders, Kanye is venturing into territory he shouldn't," the Congresswoman asserted. "He has no expertise in politics. If he wants to speak on the topic he should clear what he wants to say with those of us who do have expertise. We will give...
