According to Jill, President Donald Trump wanting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate her husband, former Vice President Joe Biden, and son "is just flat-out wrong." “What goes through your head when you hear this weekend Republicans on Capitol Hill talking about bringing your son and bringing your husband potentially to testify in an impeachment hearing and impeachment trial?” host Mike Memoli asked. Dr. Biden argued that Republicans wanting to hear from Hunter and Joe "plays right into...

The wide-ranging interview is the cover story of the latest edition of the magazine, with the 46-year-old boldly declaring he was "just born to do this". The Vanity Fair...

Democratic Sen. Kamala Harris of California announced on Saturday that she will make a decision about whether she will launch a presidential bid in 2020 by the end of this year. “It’s a very serious decision,” Harris told “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski during an onstage conversation at the Know Your Value conference in San Francisco. “Over the holiday, I will make that decision with my family.” Harris, whose husband joined her in the audience, said she is keenly aware of the challenges a barrier-breaking campaign will entail. “Let’s be honest. It’s going to be ugly,” Harris said. “When you...

More than half of the latest batch of air-traffic controller job offers nationwide went to people with no aviation experience as part of a program designed to expand hiring among the general public, the Federal Aviation Administration said Wednesday. About 22,500 people without an aviation background initially applied. Of those, 837 were offered jobs. The remainder of the roughly 1,600 new controller slots went to more traditional applicants, including military veterans with aviation experience and accredited aviation school graduates. The hiring breakdown marks a major shift in FAA recruitment strategy, which is now geared toward trying to keep ahead of...

Remember: We actually pay people to report on stuff like this. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO), while not exactly non-partisan, doesn’t always see eye to eye with either party in D.C. Yes, sometimes the effects of proposed Democrat economic policies are so obvious that even the CBO is forced to agree with Republicans. The CBO just reported that the Democrats plan to raise the minimum wage would cost between 500,00 to a million jobs. Initially. No. Duh. At least that many jobs; really, probably more. “The CBO analysts said their estimate of employment losses was approximate,” says Fox News. “They...

"..................Jarrett’s official job description is “somewhat vague,” Becker writes, noting that at least part of her role is to serve as “chief liaison to the business community, state and local governments, and the professional left,” but her influence is undeniable. She commands a staff of nearly three dozen and has a hand in decisions ranging from the invitation list to state dinners and what gifts to give foreign leaders, to who should be nominated to the Supreme Court, appointed to a vacant ambassadorship, or awarded the President Medal of Freedom. When Warren Buffett visits to the White House for lunch,...

Avril Haines will be the first woman to be second in command at the CIA, but critics point not to her gender but her lack of CIA experience. Her choice suggests Obama wants a close ally. Plucking from a collection of high-powered female lawyers serving the White House, President Obama has nominated Avril Haines as the next deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency. One former senior CIA official tells the Monitor that her nomination has prompted surprise among his former colleagues, not due to Haines’s gender, of course, but because she is a relative unknown in the community. He...

Republicans have attacked President Barack Obama’s consideration of Anna Wintour as America's next ambassador to Britain, with some claiming that the party’s Senators would move to block her appointment. Obama is believed to have placed Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine, on a shortlist of candidates to replace Louis Susman, who this week confirmed he was stepping down as US envoy to the Court of St. James. Conservative critics described the potential appointment of Wintour, whose only political experience is raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for Obama’s re-election campaign, as “ludicrous” and “a non-starter”. …

NEW YORK - President Barack Obama said on Thursday the U.S. attorney general was assembling a team to root out any fraud and manipulation in the oil markets that might be contributing to higher U.S. gasoline prices. Earlier, the Justice Department announced the working group, which will include representatives from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Reserve Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as the Departments of Agriculture, Energy, Justice and Treasury. Rising fuel costs have raised concerns about the strain on the economic recovery, with U.S. gasoline prices now averaging over $3.80...

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) is not closing the door to being considered for the vice presidential spot, despite only having served in Congress for less than three months. Speculation over West was sparked Friday when former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.), who is considering a presidential bid, said that a number of Florida GOP politicians would do well as vice president, including West. When asked about Gingrich's comments by WPTV-TV, West asked, "He said that?" "I have to pray about it and I have to clear it with my wife and two daughters," he added. "I never thought that...

Supreme Court Confirmation Hearings for President Obama’s nominee, Elena Kagan, begin today at the Capitol (video). Kagan has been working with White House lawyers for weeks to prepare for the hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Kagan’s refusal to allow military recruiters at the Harvard Law School when she was Dean there is likely to be a central flash point during the hearings. Kagan has a radical ideology and would, no doubt, push a far-Left agenda from the bench. Let’s hope Republicans don’t make her confirmation easy, but rather use these hearings to show just how radical she has been,...

Obama picked an anti-military loon to sit on the Supreme Court today. Elena Kagan expelled military recruiters from the Harvard campus in defiance of The Solomon Act. Her case was rejected by even the most liberal justices of the Supreme Court. Of course, the fact that Obama would nominate some radical with such poor judgement to the Supreme Court surprises no one. Leftwing activist Kagan protests the military. This photo shows Dean Elena Kagan protesting against the military at a LAMBDA-sponsored rally at Harvard in 2004. (HL Record) Kagan told fellow protesters at the rally: “I’m very opposed to two...

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama wants a Supreme Court nominee who is not only schooled in the law but passionate about how it affects people's lives, a scholar willing to decide a case from the heart when the constitutional answer is elusive. As first lady, Hillary Rodham Clinton jawboned the president of Uzbekistan to leave his car and shake hands with people. She argued with the Czech prime minister about democracy. She cajoled Catholic and Protestant women to talk to one another in Northern Ireland. She traveled to 79 countries in total, little of it leisure; one meeting with mutilated Rwandan refugees so unsettled her that she threw up afterward. But during those two terms in the White House, Clinton did not hold a security clearance. She did not attend National Security Council meetings. She was not given a copy of the...

KEENE, N.H. - (AP) — Bill Clinton said Tuesday the public would benefit from more attention to the records of the presidential candidates — like his wife's — and less to daily skirmishes that "won't amount to a hill of beans." The former president, known as a keen strategist himself, lamented that the campaign has become too much about the horse race at the expense of policy and experience. "Sixty-seven percent of the coverage is pure politics," he said, citing a study by the Project for Excellence in Journalism. "That stuff has a half-life of about 15 seconds. It won't...
