Ohio Governor John Kasich, a possible 2020 candidate, slammed Donald Trump for dividing the country by playing the “blame game.” “What I have resented and disliked about the president is instead of being a unifier and someone who can dig deep into people’s problems and say ‘yes those are problems, but together we can fix them,’ he has played a blame game," Kasich commented during a speech in New Hampshire at the Loeb School’s First Amendment Gala on Thursday. "He has allowed people to consider themselves victims," Kasich said, and fostered the idea in them that if good things failed...

Just saw on RCP that they have change Ohio's Senate seat from Likely Dem to Leaning Dem, which means the polls are trending in favor of the Republican candidate, Jim Renacci. I'm not so optimistic to believe that Renacci will win, but does anyone have information about early voting in Ohio? Is it possible that this seat is in play?

President Trump is headlining his latest “Make America Great Again” rally in Lebanon, Ohio, on Friday night, another stop on his campaign swing through competitive states ahead of next month’s midterm elections. Trump could address a number of topics during the rally, including his recent Oval Office meeting with rapper Kanye West and first lady Melania Trump’s much-buzzed-about interview with ABC News, as well as the upcoming elections and the recent, bruising confirmation battle over newly minted Sup

Here we go. Another high energy Rally for tonight @ 7pm EDT. Lebanon, OH. I'm not quite sure why Trump is going here, except maybe because of the 12th District where it's close. The Senate looks like a lost cause, and we're down in the Governorship by around 6 pts. Did you know? Governor's Race: Richard Cordray (D) vs Mike Devine (R) so far it's Cordray by 6 12th District Troy Balderson (R) vs Danny O'Conner (D) so far it's a tie. Balderson eeked out a win in the primary. Where is the mailman's son? Who is he endorsing? Senate...

The hardest working man in Washington, DC, (maybe the planet) is again showing the GOP how it gets done. No other president in my lifetime has shown this much stamina, energy and positive attitude. I truly believe that he is winning over the media and the independents, and maybe a few democrats, little by little. In time, his approvals will be over 60%. Just three more weeks, My Friends, after this weekend. For many states, early voting start on Monday October 15!!!

There were times during a Thursday rally Barack Obama couldn’t help but talk about himself, even though he was supposed to be talking about other people. There were other times he could barely talk at all. During the Cleveland rally for Rich Cordray and Betty Sutton, Obama repeatedly talked about himself, despite the candidates sitting behind him. Several times, he stuttered as he attempted to attack President Trump and the success of recent Republican initiatives.

COSHOCTON, Ohio — These days, three souls bring Sam Bennett hope — his wife, Debbie; God, and President Trump. Like most of his neighbors in Coshocton — population 11,000 — Mr. Bennett hasn’t once looked back since voting for Mr. Trump in 2016. Mr. Bennett is a soft-spoken man of 60 with close-set eyes and an easy smile, devoted to Christ and the collection of mining artifacts in his kitchen. The support he showed Mr. Trump at the voting booth remained unshaken through the Stormy Daniels fiasco and the recent outcry over family separations — two moments when, Mr. Bennett...

President Trump delivered remarks at the Ohio Republican Party State Dinner in downtown Columbus. He told party members to encourage voters to get out an vote in the 2018 elections, saying it was the party’s responsibility to protect its 2016 win with followup victories in the midterms. He also talked about recent economic metrics and immigration policy.

President Trump has a lot on the line in this fall’s midterm elections. So, he’s decided to turn for help to the man he trusts the most — himself. In the remaining 75 days until ballots are counted, Trump will invest at least 40 of them in campaigning for Republicans in both House and Senate races. He will spend additional time on fundraising for candidates and the party .And you may have noticed, this president is quite comfortable with spur-of-the-moment decisions. So, it’s likely he will add even more campaign days along the way as races and political needs develop....

Former Ohio State University wrestler, Mark Coleman is now walking back his claims Congressman Jim Jordan knew about sexual abuse allegations against a doctor when he was a wrestling coach at the college over 20 years ago. ~~~~Snip~~~~ Mark Coleman told the Wall Street Journal in early July, “There’s no way unless he’s got dementia or something that he’s got no recollection of what was going on at Ohio State. I have nothing but respect for this man, I love this man, but he [Jim Jordan] knew as far as I’m concerned.” Now the former wrestler is walking back his...

Real Title: Rush Limbaugh Warns That Democrats Are Trying to Steal Ohio D-12 Election — After Dems Find 500 Votes Lying Around at Polling Station Snip~~ Rush Limbaugh warned his audience on Thursday that Democrats are trying to steal the Ohio special election. This comes after election officials found a stash of 500 votes lying around at an Ohio polling station. The votes gave Democrat O’Connor another 190 votes to narrow Republican Balderson’s lead. What luck! USA Today reported:

WASHINGTON — As next week’s 12th Congressional District special election draws near, Democrats continue to outperform Republicans in early voting — one indication that the “enthusiasm gap” between the parties is alive and well in central Ohio.

Central Ohioans have seen no lack of spin in the 12th Congressional District special election for the past several weeks, but the hard reality of math is finally making a winner all but certain. Bottom line: Republican Troy Balderson will prevail in the multimillion-dollar struggle unless Democrat Danny O’Connor takes a stunning share of the remaining uncounted votes. The O’Connor camp estimates roughly 3,000 ballots will be left to tabulate when county elections board begin their official count. Even if O’Connor gets a whopping 75 percent of those remaining 3,000 ballots, he would gain only 2,250 votes. That wouldn’t be...

Ohio Republican Gov. John Kasich will be skipping a Republican fundraising dinner in Ohio Friday where President Donald Trump will be the headline speaker. Kasich’s spokesman told The Associated Press that the Ohio governor will not attend the event in his home state, but did not elaborate. Kasich and Trump have constantly disagreed with each other dating back to the 2016 Republican presidential primary election.

WASHINGTON — Republican Troy Balderson further expanded his slim lead after all votes were counted in Delaware and Muskingum counties, and Democrat Danny O’Connor is not close enough yet to force a recount in the hotly contested Aug. 7 special election to finish out the term of Rep. Pat Tiberi. Balderson, a Zanesville Republican who serves in the state Senate, held a narrow lead over the Franklin County recorder on election night, but the seven counties in the 12th Congressional District were still counting provisional and absentee ballots early this week. Two, Delaware and Muskingum, now have certified their final...

Last week, Republican Troy Balderson struggled to beat Democrat Danny O'Connor in a House special election in suburban Columbus -- an Ohio district the GOP has held for decades and President Trump won by 11 percentage points two years ago. (The race -- still too close to call with a margin of 1,564 votes -- won't be declared until Aug. 24, when all the absentee ballots have been counted.) In March, Republican Rick Saccone lost a special election to Democrat Conor Lamb in Pennsylvania, another district that voted solidly for Trump. Both Ohio and Pennsylvania represent the new coalition...

I hate weeks like this. I’m sitting here, Friday at midnight, trying to think of something to write about. My deadline is Saturday at noon, so I have a little time. But with so many topics to choose from, how can anyone be expected to pick just one? August used to be a traditionally slow time in politics – the month of Congressional recess and vacations when cable news tries out D-listers and new hopefuls desperately seeking fame and human-interest stories become all the rage. It’s still those things, mostly, but in 2018 there is never a dull moment, even...

I can't post the article here since it is from USA today. So just go search for the title to find out that the democrats are finding uncounted ballots as usual. Of course this batch favors the democrat by 190 votes.
