Gemma Copeland is a keen traveler and she didn’t want to end her journeys just because she had a child. She also wanted her son to explore the world from an early age. So, Gemma and her partner took him to Vienna, Austria. However, the mother didn’t expect this trip would change her own perception of the world. But it did. All thanks to an empathetic great ape who took the time to engage with Gemma and her child during a very intimate moment. While the guys were visiting the Schönbrunn Zoo, Gemma’s boy got hungry. She sat down by...

A starved, emaciated lurcher was found by Animal Welfare officers in Blythe, Northumberland. The pup was callously dropped on the street where it was found and had apparently been left for dead. The condition of the poor pooch was appalling: almost literally skin and bones, dried out and an easily-visible ribcage, nearly no hair, and weighing 24 lbs (10,88 kgs), which is half the weight she should weigh. The dog which was named Tiggy by Berwick Animal Rescue Kennels (B-A-R-K for short), who took her in and took care of her, might as well been called Twiggy at the time....

If the thought that your pet is more precious to you than anything else has ever crossed your mind, we are almost certain this video captured in China might make you reconsider your priorities. As much as we all love our pets, most of us probably wouldn’t risk our child or any other young kid just to get our beloved pet to safety. Well, this grandma has her priorities in quite a different order, apparently. When the reckless lady noticed her cat sitting on a ledge one floor lower, the best idea for rescuing the feline that popped into her...

Luca Bracali, a wildlife photographer captured a hilarious moment in Madagascar Andasibe National Park when a black-and-white ruffed lemur tried to drop down from a tree to grab the photographer's camera. The funny photo shows the animal staring directly down the lens while hanging upside down from a tree. "I used a super wide-angle and I remained pretty close to the ground with the lens all the way up waiting for the lemur to come down," Bracali said.

Meet Patsy the border collie. Patsy saved a flock of sheep from fire. In this photo, you can see the Australian bushfires near the doggo’s owner’s farm. With bushfires still raging in Australia, over 500 million animals have died there since September. However, communities are coming together, people are volunteering to fight the blazes, and complete strangers all over the world are donating what they can to support Australia. What’s more, some animals are turning out to be real heroes and they’re saving their fellow animals.

These heartbreaking photos show the moment a kangaroo begs for help in the aftermath of the devastating Australian bushfires. The marsupial suffered huge burns to its body before a teenager drenched it with water and gave it a drink. The stricken animal is one of billions caught up in Australia’s worst bushfires, which continue to burn out of control across an area more than a third of the size of England.

My guys have a harder time in winter staying normal healthy, with increased shedding and temperature and humidity swings and seasonal hay changes, they are more prone to stomach aches and gi slowdowns. For them this is a serious issue as these are pets that can die within 24 hours if we don't deal with it as soon as we notice something's wrong. I pray all the time for them, i just pray for their good health and a happy day, that they eat and drink well, they enjoy all their hay, and all their fur is able to pass...

Horses are by nature very different from other animals, and their behaviors are much close to that of humans than one would think. They are social creatures and always seek attachment, just like us. Photo showing a grieving horse in Brazil that smelt his late owner’s casket and emotionally hugged it before breaking down in anguish went viral

Not so long ago, there was a fun party at Zoo Atlanta: their gorilla Anaka celebrated her 6th birthday. To commemorate the joyous occasion, the employees at the facility snapped a couple of pics of the big girl and shared them on Facebook. People started sending their best wishes. However, while congratulating Anaka, those who were more observant noticed an interesting detail

While there is no evidence that President Trump has ever harmed a kitten, Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Elizabeth Warren (Mass) alleges that "Donald Trump would step on a cute little kitten to get what he wants. I have never done that. I would never do that. That's why I'd be a better president than him." Warren bolstered her contention by citing "how cruelly Trump has treated the affable, but doddering former Vice-President Joe Biden. Joe may not always know where he is or that extorting a foreign government to help out his son is wrong, but he doesn't deserve to...

The family dog of 13 years had to be put down. Her body was shutting down and nose cancer had taken its toll. She wouldn't eat and I had to carry her. I can't say enough good things about the local vets, C-Vets Emergency, and NC State K9 Oncology. They did so much for her and us during her time. RIP to the world's best GSD ever. Terra. Gregg and dog On Thursday night, 7 November, 2019 a little after 11 p.m., at the Motel 6 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Greg Sapp was on the walkway outside of his and his wife, Viki's motel room on the second floor. He was getting a smoke. He did not know he would be emptying his Kimber .45 into a charging black bear within seconds. Link to video He was facing outward from the motel. Room 240 has one wall in common with the outside of the motel, with another in common with the breezeway that connects to the rooms on...

Stranded and left for dead years after falling into a forsaken bunker meant to house nuclear weapons, a colony of ants has apparently resorted to necrotic cannibalism not only to survive, but to thrive. Checking in recently on a colony of Formica polyctena ants that fell into the nether depths of a decrepit, abandoned nuclear weapons storage bunker in rural Poland, a team of researchers led by Prof. Wojciech Czechowski of the Polish Academy of Science found that their numbers hadn’t shrunk at all. In fact, they’d proliferated — even though their entrapment had cut the colony off from any...

Joe Biden went after President Trump for being the first president in more than a century not to own any pets while in office. The Democratic front-runner pointed out that it was “National Cat Day” on Twitter and wrote, “Some Americans celebrate #NationalCatDay, some celebrate #NationalDogDay — President Trump celebrates neither. It says a lot. It’s time we put a pet back in the White House.”

An online retailer that opened a massive fulfillment center near the Dayton International Airport this summer is doubling its initial hiring projections. Chewy Inc., a Dania Beach, Florida-based retailer that provides pet food and supplies, has already hired 1,000 people and is looking to fill another 200 positions by year's end. That will bring its total employment to 1,200. Chewy initially projected the new center would create 600 jobs, so the actual employee count will be twice as many as originally reported. Additionally, the company has already promoted 30 people to leadership roles at the site, Chewy Vice President of...
