Yesterday we had students walking out of school all over the country to protest gun violence. Now, in Baltimore and some other cities, there may be a different type of walkout. Teachers are objecting to the idea of any of them being trained and armed, so much so that if there are any armed teachers in the school they will walk out as well. (CBS Baltimore)

Minnesota students taking part in the national gun control walkouts on Wednesday allegedly assaulted another student carrying a Trump flag. According to CBS, the incident occurred outside of Southwest High School and Minneapolis Police are currently investigating the incident as an assault. Per CBS, two students taking part in the protest allegedly noticed the male victim holding the flag while standing across the street from the school. After the two approached the victim, six other protesters followed before stealing his flag, damaging his camera and “inflicting minor injuries.” So far, no arrests have been made in connection to the incident.

Video has emerged of the principal at New Praque, Minnesota’s New Prague High School allegedly removing a student from a group of walkout participants because the student was holding a pro-gun sign. The student’s sign said, “Guns Don’t Kill People, People Kill People.” New Prague High School student Kenny McDonald put up a Facebook post alleging that the student was not only made to walk away from those participating in the walkout for gun control but was also threatened with being placed in a police car. The post contains a video which shows the student with a pro-gun sign being...

Americans love their cars. The United States has one of the highest car ownership rates per capita in the world. We're a mobile culture and we like it that way. But a tax-per-mile plan being pushed by Republican Rep. Sam Graves of Missouri might have drivers re-thinking those weekend joyrides instead of feeling all the pain at the pump.

The very expensive ($70.9 billion in 2016) federal food stamp program (officially: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP) is an open invitation to fraud. The latest indicator comes from Jacksonville, Florida. News4Jax.com (Channel 4 in Jacksonville) reports:

On Thursday, MSNBC’s Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski managed to dismiss both the First and Second Amendment in the same sentence when she opined that the NRA “should be sued, and forced to take down” what she described as “inflammatory ads.” Brzezinski voiced this startling opinion at the tail-end of her three hour show. In the final segment of the morning, an image of a recent NRA tweet featuring a photo of a firearm appeared onscreen, which read, “I’ll control my own guns, thank you.” Brzezinski responded: “The NRA, with their inflammatory ads, and threatening ads, should be sued and...

Regardless, the whole crux of their argument is that banning so-called assault weapons, expanded background checks, waiting period etc. will save lives. It won’t do that, and the anti-gun Left knows it. So, thanks to Vox for actually showing the end game of the Democratic agenda on firearms, which is that they really just want to ban guns. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have cited the Australian model on gun control. Clinton even went so far as to say the Supreme Court got the Second Amendment wrong in 2016. The level of violence in Europe, which is often cited by...

Clinical psychologist, author, professor and easy-on-the-eye cultural critic, Jordan B. Peterson, took a break from his sold out speaking tour to chat with Miranda Devine. He had some sage words of advice for the likes of Qantas, Telstra, PWC, KPMG et al: “People who are doing this at the corporate level will rapidly get their comeuppance … If you’re operating within a capitalist environment like let’s say the executives and management of Qantas, who are being paid disproportionately well, you don’t also get to be a social radical. And you don’t get to salve your conscience for receiving a pay...

As a first step, I would like to challenge Sen. Rubio to publically explain why any American civilian actually needs to own a military assault weapon. The 2nd Amendment of our Constitution consists of 26 words written in arcane language that has caused much confusion down through the years. Since the amendment was written at a time in our history where virtually every home contained a flintlock musket and gun ownership was an accepted, normal part of everyday life, it’s reasonable to believe that, rather than dealing with individual gun ownership, the 2nd Amendment was intended to protect the right...

There are two certainties following nearly every mass shooting event: Cable news television will have its programming schedule set for the next 72 hours, and a significant number of gun control advocates will reveal they lack even a basic understanding of the items they wish to regulate. The first certainty is to be expected. After all, if it bleeds it leads. The second certainty is more remarkable. It’s remarkable that so many proponents of stricter regulations appear to be generally ignorant of not just the minutiae of firearms, but also the basics. It’s also remarkable that this ignorance continues unabated,...

Sen. Kamala Harris slammed the idea of arming teachers as one that doesn’t make sense and because, naturally, it is racist. The California Democrat managed to find a way to inject a theme of racial bias in a Senate hearing on the deadly school shooting in Parkland, Fla., and the failures by the FBI and law enforcement to prevent the tragedy by following through on the many warning signs.

Modern medicine can’t reassign sex physically, and attempting to do so doesn’t produce good outcomes psychosocially. Here is the evidence. Contrary to the claims of activists, sex isn’t “assigned” at birth—and that’s why it can’t be “reassigned.” As I explain in my book When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment, sex is a bodily reality that can be recognized well before birth with ultrasound imaging. The sex of an organism is defined and identified by the way in which it (he or she) is organized for sexual reproduction.

Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts tried working herself up at Wednesday’s gun control rally outside the White House but couldn’t manage to find her stride despite being filmed by MSNBC. Warren was asked what was going through her mind, and she immediately blamed the National Rifle Association (NRA) for a lack of gun control reform. “The NRA has held Congress hostage for years now,” Warren said. “These young people have shown up to spring us free, to say you’re not here to do the work of the gun lobby. You’re here to do the work of the American people....

George Clooney has been laying low in the film business recently. But he’s been getting more active politically. I told you a few weeks ago that he was donating $500,000 to the March 24th March for Our Lives. Now Clooney and John Prendergast have co-written an Op Ed piece for “Foreign Affairs” magazine on how to achieve peace in Africa. In the piece, titled “The Key to Making Peace in Africa: Fighting Corruption Can Help End Conflict,” Clooney and Prendergast, the actor’s partner in The Sentry, a project of Clooney’s South Sudan effort called Not On Our Watch. write:

To offer a corporate tribute to a national school walkout for gun-control measures, Viacom -- which owns several major cable networks -- "will suspend regularly scheduled programming for 17 minutes" at 10 am on Wednesday. Liberal student activists will take over MTV's Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat accounts. MTV, VH1, Logo, Comedy Central will have orange (the color of gun violence prevention) logos until the "March for Our Lives" on March 24. Their press release is headlined "Viacom to Support Courageous Youth Activists Who Have Had Enough of Gun Violence." Or one could suggest "Viacom to Stick It to the NRA."

Officers from the Asheville Police Department are investigating an incident at the local chapter of the North Carolina Fraternal Order of Police after a vandal damaged property and spray-painted the words “Black Lives Matter” on its building early Monday. Police spokesperson Christina Hallingse said the incident took place at about 4 a.m. Monday at the FOP lodge at 18 Piney Park Road. The suspect, a male, painted the words on the building, referencing the international activist movement, in addition to damaging an on-site security camera and smashing the windows out of an FOP van, Hallingse said.

“Don’t be evil” is the motto of Google’s corporate code of conduct according to Wikipedia. Sounds good, until one considers that “evil” is subjective when one has unhinged himself from the rock of truth. Silicon Valley, previously looked to as a redeemer of the American economy, is transforming itself into a suspicious Angel of Light preaching something far different than life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Unless happiness translates to “the worst of American capitalism – squashing competitors, using indentured servants, attempting to fix wages, depressing incomes, creating ever more social anomie and alienation,” as noted by Orange County...

Recently, I arrived at a moment of introspection about a curious aspect of my own behavior. When I disagree with a conservative friend or colleague on some political issue, I have no fear of speaking my mind. I talk, they listen, they respond, I talk some more, and at the end of it we get along just as we always have. But I’ve discovered that when a progressive friend says something with which I disagree or that I know to be incorrect, I’m hesitant to point it out. This hesitancy is a consequence of the different treatment one tends to...

Ever since the deadly shooting in Parkland Florida, there has been an outcry for legislation to tighten gun laws. However, the National Rifle Association (NRA) and supporters of the Second Amendment are pushing back creating a deep divide on the issue of gun control across the country.

This is just sad. Fox News host Jesse Watters is reportedly divorcing his wife after an affair with a 25-year-old subordinate was uncovered. The New York Daily News has the exclusive report: The network’s prominent host Jesse Watters — who dined on Monday with President Trump — is in the midst of divorce due to an affair with a 25-year-old associate producer. Watters’ wife, Noelle Watters, filed for divorce in October. The couple has twin girls. Sources said the 39-year-old host informed the network of his adulterous relationship with Emma DiGiovine shortly after Noelle filed divorce papers.
