A federal judge rejected an effort by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg to block a Congressional subpoena of a former prosecutor for that office who had worked on an investigation into former President Donald Trump. Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil ruled that she has no standing to block the subpoena, writing that the House Judiciary Committee has claimed to have legitimate legislative purposes for its inquiry. The committee and its Republican chairman, Rep. Jim Jordan, have aggressively confronted Bragg in the weeks since Trump was indicted in Manhattan. The Judiciary Committee says it is conducting its investigation in support of possible...

A federal judge on Wednesday shot down Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s attempt to block a former prosecutor in his office from testifying before the House Judiciary Committee about the criminal case against Donald Trump. The committee and its chairman, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), had subpoenaed ex-assistant district attorney Mark Pomerantz to give testimony about the DA’s investigation into Trump, 76, that culminated in the former president’s indictment in March. Bragg filed suit against Jordan and the Judiciary Committee, claiming the subpoena was an overreach by the GOP-led House and an attempt to influence a state criminal proceeding.

beating death of a Pomeranian named Fox may have been eclipsed by the hand-written note left behind: “We beat it 2 death lol HAHAHA!” Ronald Boisvert, Fox’s owner, said his 13-year-old family pet disappeared Friday afternoon when his girlfriend let him out at their Pembroke Pines condominium. On Saturday morning, Boisvert was awoken by a “frantic knock” from a neighbor who said Fox was lying near Boisvert’s condo with the note on top of his body. “I was devastated,” Boisvert said. “He was a very friendly dog.” Boisvert initially thought the note was a joke and believed Fox could have...

That is almost half as many who like Kim Kardashian, and he is a dog without a TV show (yet). When you Google "world's cutest dog," he is...

A brave 7-pound pooch trying to protect three little kids in his family was heartlessly slapped out a third-story window by a cop on a failed drug raid, a lawsuit charges. Chuwie, a miniature Doberman-Pomeranian mix, miraculously survived, but his owner says the family pet hasn’t been the same since. “How could a police officer do that to a tiny dog?’’ said Iris Ramos, whose son-in-law, Ronald Estevez, 27, owns Chuwie. The dog never tried to attack a cop -- all he did was bark, according to the family’s Bronx Civil Court lawsuit against the city and NYPD for unspecified...

ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - It's out of town or else for Gizmo, a Pomeranian with a bad reputation in Aspen. Municipal Judge Brooke Peterson told Gizmo's owner, Melinda Goldrich, that if the dog is seen again in town, it will be put to death. Goldrich was in court Wednesday on a charge of keeping a vicious dog. An employee at an Aspen fitness club says Gizmo, who was tied to a fence, bit her in August. The dog served 10 days in an animal shelter. Goldrich had been under a court order to not leave Gizmo unattended after he bit...
