The Federal Reserve system has lots of ways to communicate with the public, but that wasn’t always the case. The Fed has Web sites for the board in Washington and all the regional banks with access to speeches by officials, research and even blogs, there’s TV coverage of the chairman’s testimony and now press conference, there’s a plethora of other sites (including this one, of course) that cover the central bank closely, not to mention the banks’ paper publications and local outreach efforts.
