Here come the hyper-partisan hounds. A new nonprofit called American Oversight launched this week to combat President Trump's "culture of impunity." The outfit declared itself "nonpartisan" and claims its crusaders will fight for a "transparent and ethical government." But like Waylon Jennings once crooned, "Baby, that dog won't hunt." These Democrat operatives aren't interested in accountability. Their mission is to attack, obstruct and destroy their political opponents at all costs. Executive Director and Obama donor Austin Evers is certainly familiar with the "culture of impunity." He worked as a lawyer at Williams and Connolly -- the firm representing Hillary Clinton...

As you may have heard with the hard work of the folks at ProgressNow Colorado as part of Colorado¹s ³communication hub² they dug up weeks ago and carefully passed on information to the mainstream media on how the leading GOP candidate for Governor, former Congressman Scott McInnis plagiarized a report he provided on water policy for a foundation in Colorado. In the past 48 hours, McInnis and the entire Republican party...
  • New Mexico gov part of allegedly boisterous party that led to police call

Susana Martinez claimed she and her companions, including a disabled sister, were only having pizza and drinking cokes. The audio tapes between Martinez and police were released Friday and siezed upon by her critics at ProgressNow New Mexico. ... A statement from her office said Martinez was hosting her annual staff holiday party at the downtown hotel's ballroom Saturday night. Some 200 people attended; there was a live band and dancing. After the party, Martinez and staff helped clean up and retired to a staffer's hotel room to eat pizza, the statement said. ... Fox News has confirmed with Santa...

Who is Rashad Robinson? And why has his fringe, race-baiting organization been able to pressure several major corporations into abandoning a pro-limited-government legislative association -- all for a few cheap social-justice brownie points? Conservative consumers need to get informed, get active and stand their ground against free speech-squelching progressive activists who have demonized the American Legislative Exchange Council. This isn't just a battle over ALEC. It's a war against the left's shakedown artists taking aim at our freedoms of speech and association. ALEC, as I reported last week, is the four-decade-old policy organization of state legislators and like-minded business people...

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; Upon those who dwelt in the land of gloom a light has shone. — Isaiah 9:1 This verse from Scripture will be read at Midnight Mass, December 25, in Catholic churches across America. For radicals in the pews, however, the light focused on will be the light coming from their smartphone screens as they communicate with each other and report to Aniello Alioto, political director of the George Soros-funded Progress Now, any “hostile activity” in the form of priests explaining Catholic teaching on the family and marriage. George Soros’...
  • AT ISSUE: Swastika sign at rally very suspicious

I'm surprised that the Rocky Mountain News didn't challenge the circumstances around the anti-Obama "swastika" sign at the recent downtown rally opposing the stimulus package ("Columnist isn't smiling over swastika in rally photo," Feb. 18). Under later questioning, Kreck admitted that the sign was given to her by a staff member for ProgressNow.org, who also provided a photographer to capture the reaction. Doesn't the event at the recent rally seem a little odd? Since ProgressNow.org seems to have the only photo evidence of the sign, doesn't it seem possible that the sign holder is a plant, or perhaps a rube...

A small advocacy group in Colorado is betting that it can take one state-of-the-art Web site, add half a million dollars or so and end up with a potent tool that will enable it to organize the state's entire community of liberal activists. ProgressNow, formed two years ago, is borrowing some of the online tactics that helped fuel the 2004 presidential campaign of Howard Dean, now the Democratic National Committee chairman. It has invited activists from across the state to use its Web site free to push most any issue they like. The goal is to create a go-to site...
