The House will vote the week of December 10 on formalizing the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden to strengthen subpoena power over the stonewalling Biden administration, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) stated during a Tuesday press conference. The vote will be a test for House Republicans, who hold a slight majority over House Democrats. The measure will need nearly all Republican support. Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) opened an “impeachment inquiry” on September 12, but lawmakers did not vote to approve the measure. If the impeachment inquiry receives majority support on the House floor, the inquiry will be formally adopted,...

The Gang of Eight is back, and this time its bipartisan members are vowing their widely contested immigration reform proposals – including one bearing the name of amnesty that had Sen. Marco Rubio rushing to distance himself from while he campaigned for presidetn – will have a much clearer path to passage. Speaker Paul Ryan is reportedly more open to pushing forward immigration reform than was John Boehner, former speaker,

House Republican leaders are unlikely to allow amendments to the Senate-passed Iran bill, bucking a clutch of conservatives who wanted to change the language, according to multiple sources familiar with internal planning. The move all but assures passage of the legislation when it comes up for a House vote, probably on Thursday. It was approved by the Senate last week, 98-1. GOP leadership expects to discuss its plans at a closed-door party meeting Wednesday. Members of the House Freedom Caucus, led by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), are pushing for Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and Majority...

I was recently visiting some extended family in South Carolina that's come around to support Tom Ravenel's Independent Conservative candidacy (my thoughts on that below), and got a look at yet another side of Grahamnesty's betrayal of the Constitution and conservative principles. It looks like Lindsey Graham is even worse than a RINO traitor who's willing to sell the country down the river for amnesty and the h1b visa, and he didn't back that traitorous immigration reform bill just for pats on the back from the Obama admin and Chamber of Commerce bribes-- he's also a compromised traitor. My extended...

In 2007, John McCain’s “comprehensive” immigrant-legalization bill failed after opponents flooded the Senate with calls, shutting down the switchboard. Despite considerable press hype, the bill didn’t even muster a majority on the crucial cloture vote. It won’t be that easy this time. For one thing, they have a better switchboard, I’m told. For another, the Republican consultants–e.g. Gillespie, Rove–who helped Mitt Romney lose the 2012 election have taken their own failure as an excuse to push what they’ve wanted all along–a business-pleasing immigration policy guaranteeing a supply of inexpensive labor from abroad and a stream of campaign donations to pay...

Thought this would be worth a sort-of repost to help us take down these RINO traitors supporting amnesty and the H1B in the immigration deform bill. 1. Launch a general full-scale assault on the amnesty and H1B-pushing turncoat RINO’s like Marco Rubio, Paul Ryan and Loser Lindsey Graham, especially House Reps like Ryan and Senators like Graham who will have to face primaries in 2014, but even turncoats like Rubio who aren't up until 2016. Let’s work to recruit primary challenges for each of them as well as any other pro-amnesty RINO, and encourage them to start revving up immediately,...

Sixteen Republicans voted in favor of the motion, while two Democrats — both from states President Obama lost in the 2012 election — voted against it. The two Democrats were Sens. Mark Begich (Alaska) and Mark Pryor (Ark.), both of whom face reelection next year. The 16 Republicans who voted to proceed were Sens. Despite the past two and a half years America has been run by a president who is in every respect a socialist with communist tendencies, the pathetic GOP cannot effectively mount a first-tier candidate to seriously challenge this diminutive Marxist professor. Why? Because for 40 years the GOP has used the rhetoric of conservative Ronald Reagan, but the tactics, strategies and policies of RINO Richard Nixon. Indeed, Reagan is lionized by today's GOP and has been for 30 years since his two successful presidential terms (1981-89), yet it reminds me of the words of Christ rebuking the hypocritical and power-hungry...

Those of us who got our hopes up that $4 gas would finally galvanize the country to break the strangle-hold the extremists in the environmental movement have on our lives and on our future – and impel the Congress to do something sensible for a change – are going to have to grit our teeth and fight even harder. Not only have these five Republican Senators joined with Democrat environmentalists to scuttle all attempts for citizens of the U.S.A. to begin to achieve some semblance of energy independence, but they may have robbed John McCain of the hottest issue to...

The GOP leadership is waking up to a persistent reality, and it's one that has fundraisers and strategists at the RNC up at night. Conservatives, the core constituency of the Republican Party, are irate. Far from a passing hobbyhorse, the illegal immigration issue has galvanized Republican voters like no single issue in recent memory, and conservatives are refusing to let it go. The Senate's comprehensive immigration bill, backed by the President and pushed by the GOP establishment, was more than a mere legislative miscalculation, is was the straw that broke the conservatives' back. Moreover, to listen to conservatives, it wasn't...

RUSH: The 16 provisions of the Patriot Act that go by the wayside since the Patriot Act was -- it technically wasn't voted down (story). There was a filibuster attempt. The Patriot Act itself never came up to a vote. They had a cloture vote to try to kill a filibuster. They couldn't get 60. (Vote total) They got 52. So we're not going to vote on the Patriot Act, which is the same thing as voting against it. A lot of really yellow-bellied Republicans joined this effort, aided in no small part by this bogus New York Times story...

New Awards For Republicans in Name OnlyBy Jim BurnsCNSNews.com Senior Staff WriterMarch 29, 2002 (CNSNews.com) - They're called RINOs - Republicans in Name Only, and now, they've even got their own awards, dubious to be sure, handed out by the anti-tax Washington group, Club For Growth. Club For Growth President Stephen Moore said the RINO awards recognize certain Republican office holders around the nation who have advanced what he called "anti-growth, anti-freedom or anti-free market policies." Winning the 2001 RINO award was Tennessee Republican Governor Don Sundquist. "Gov. Sundquist wins for repeatedly trying to enact a state income tax. There...
