SELMA, Ala. (CNN) - Thousands of pounds of sausage products may contain metal bits in them. Pixabay / MGN The U-S-D-A announced yesterday that R-L Zeigler Company has recalled nearly 12,000 pounds of its products. The recalled items include the 24-oz plastic packages of "Zeigler a Tradition of Great Taste Red Hots" and its "Extra Hot Zeigler a Tradition of Great Taste Red Hots" version. No word on how the metal pieces could have made it into the sausages and there are no reports of side effects to the products.
