The U.S. Supreme Court said Monday it will consider how much protection the Second Amendment provides for carrying a gun outside the home. The case will mark the first time in more than a decade that the court agreed to take up a central issue of the gun rights debate, something it has consistently ducked since issuing a landmark ruling in District of Columbia v. Heller in 2008 that the Second Amendment provides an individual right to keep a handgun at home for self defense. The court agreed to hear a challenge to a New York state law that allows...

“For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will be the COMING of the Son of Man. . . . the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. . . . and they will see the Son of Man COMING on the CLOUDS of heaven with power and great glory. . . . Truly, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.” (Matthew 24:27-34) If Jesus was to “come”...

Another meteor is believed to have fallen into the earth’s atmosphere late Monday night, marking the second visible fireball reported in a week above Ontario. More than 150 eyewitness reports were made to National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of a bright fireball seen on the evening of Dec. 7. According to NASA, the object may have entered the atmosphere above Rossie, New York before travelling across the border, disintegrating near Brockville, Ont. Dr. Denis Vida, a postdoctoral associate with the University of Western Ontario in their physics and astronomy department, called the meteor “a slow fireball” as it travelled...

Academia, the MSM and the Billionaires' Non-Profit Boards, need to own up if they are influenced by Cultural Marxism of the Frankfurt School variety. (Take down the West by "making it stink.") Any discussion of their viewpoints about 2nd Amendment, needs to account for whether or not they support the following goal: * An unreliable legal system with bias against victims of crime. If you are against guns, then you need to declare where you rank the rights of crime victims. Why would they want to disregard the average crime victim? As part of a plan to destabilize the middle-class...

Investigators became aware of the posts last week, including one dated Sept. 26 showing the man holding two AK-47 guns -- one in each hand, pointing skyward, fingers on triggers. The caption on the photo read: "One ticket for joker please," according to Redmond police. The post comes as U.S. officials had issued warnings about the potential for mass shootings at the movie, which opened on Thursday to increased security around the Seattle-area movie theaters. FBI intelligence officials had uncovered social media posts related to extremists classified as 'incels' -- short for "involuntary celibate" -- and the man had been...

Legislators in Hawaii, which has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the United States, moved this week to bring their concerns about the Second Amendment to the national level. In Senate Concurrent Resolution (SCR) No. 42, introduced Tuesday, Democratic lawmakers assert that in light of the numerous tragic mass shootings at schools, work places, and public events, this body believes that it is necessary to repeal or amend the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution. In the resolution, lawmakers urge Congress to adopt a proposed amendment to the United States Constitution pursuant to article V of the United States Constitution to clarify the...

During the attempted electronic lynching of the Covington Catholic high school boys on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, the mask hiding the Left’s genocidal rage slipped and was momentarily visible. The reality of the confrontation was inverted 180 degrees by the duplicitous mainstream media so that a smiling white teenager was made to face the wrath of an Orwellian two-minute hate that stretched on for days, even after the factual record was corrected. Accelerated by social media, the virtual lynch mob called for, among other horrors, MAGA-hat-wearing teenage boys to be fed headfirst into wood chippers, or for them...

There are, of course, many different views among Christians about eschatology. Jesus’ Parousia (“Second Coming”) of Matthew 24:29-34 is a primary text, but highly controversial. The futurist view places this event at the end of history. On the other hand, the preterist view is that Jesus’ Parousia described in Matthew 24 is about Christ’s coming “in judgment” against Old Covenant Israel in AD 70. The context is the prophecy of the destruction of the temple (verse 2) which was fulfilled in AD 70. The parallel passage of Luke 21 confirms that this is about the fall of Jerusalem at that...

Hundreds of protesters gathered Monday in Pittsburgh's Downtown to rally against proposed restrictions on guns and ammunition. The bills would ban semi-automatic rifles and certain ammunition and firearms accessories within city limits. The crowd carried signs, waived flags and had rifles slung across their shoulders. They chanted "USA" and "We will not comply" and cheered the police officers and other public safety officials monitoring the rally. State Rep. Aaron Bernstine, R-Ellwood City, called the proposed gun legislation a "clear violation" of law by the mayor and "political stunts" by the District Attorney. "Don't go after the Constitution," Bernstine said. "Go...

Former Gov. Jan Brewer on Monday announced that her eldest son, Ronald Brewer, had died unexpectedly over the weekend. He was 54. "Heartbreaking news for me," Brewer wrote on Twitter, sharing a link to an online obituary. "Prayers for me and my family as we grieve are greatly appreciated." Brewer already lost one of her three sons, John Brewer, to cancer in 2007. The cause of Ronald Brewer's death was not immediately clear. The obituary said only that he had died in his sleep Saturday in Phoenix, and a family representative did not comment further.

the 3-D Printed Gun Taken Down This is what happens if you go up against the state and you have a degree of notoriety—you get framed, or set-up for a fall and a lifetime of shame. That’s what happened to Cody Wilson, the guy who invented the 3-D printed gun. He was arrested in Taiwan, accused of “sexual assaulting” a 16-year old girl in Texas. From The New York Times: Mr. Wilson, 30, is accused of taking a girl he met via the website SugarDaddyMeet.com to a hotel in Austin on Aug. 15, having sex with her and paying her...

LET US MAKE MAN to Our image and likeness. “And God made man; He modelled him,†says Tertullian, “to the image of God, i.e. of Christ. Wonderful deed, to fashion this slime of the earth! God seems to be absorbed in it; He makes it the work of His hand and of His heart; counsel, wisdom, providence, and above all love, trace the lines. As He forms each lineament of this clay, He has in mind Christ who is to become man. This slime of the earth, stamped with the image of the Christ to come, is not only...

Red Simple LAURENCE IS FOLLOWED TODAY by the son of Chromatius, prefect of Rome, Tiburtius, who also suffered upon burning coals for the confession of his faith. Though forty years intervened between the two martyrdoms, it was the same Holy Spirit that animated these witnesses of Christ and suggested to them the same answer to their executioners. Tiburtius, walking upon the fire, cried out: “Learn that the God of the Christians is the only God, for these hot coals seem flowers to me.†Equally near to the great Archdeacon stands an illustrious virgin, so bright herself as not to...

Hillsborough, N.C. — Under the threat of rain, dozens of people gathered Saturday morning in Orange County to express their support for the Second Amendment and their right to carry guns. Over 200 people had expressed interest in the event, which was publicized by organizers via a Facebook.post. The event was held at the Old Orange County Courthouse and several speakers said they were strong advocates of the Second Amendment, which is enshrined in America's Bill of Rights. "Only the misuse of a gun is wrong," one of the speakers said. "I believe the majority of Americans do not want...

Today is the 70th anniversary of the political creation of the State of Israel. This fact is crucial for American fundamentalists. This is because most of them believe in something their pastors call “the clock of prophecy.” It started ticking on May 14, 1948, or so they have been told by a generation of pastors and authors. But there is a problem. It was not supposed to keep ticking longer than 70 years — the normal lifespan of one generation. Before I explain all this, I want you to understand that American fundamentalists are almost all dispensationalists. This is called...

White Semidouble ℣. In resurrectione tua Christe, alleluia. ℣. In thy resurrection, O Christ, alleluia. ℟. Cœli et terra lætentur, alleluia. ℟. let heaven and earth rejoice, alleluia. THIS SUNDAY goes under the name of the Good Shepherd Sunday, because in the Mass, there is read the Gospel of St. John, wherein our Lord calls himself by this name. How very appropriate is this passage of the Gospel to this present Season, when our Divine Master began his work of establishing and consolidating the Church, by giving it the Pastor, or Shepherd, who was to govern it to the...

White  ℣. In resurrectione tua Christe, alleluia. ℣. In thy resurrection, O Christ, alleluia. ℟. Cœli et terra lætentur, alleluia. ℟. let heaven and earth rejoice, alleluia. THIS BEING SATURDAY, let us once more think of Mary, and of the joy she feels at the Resurrection of her Son. She had been his companion in his Sufferings; there was not one that she had not endured and suffered as far as a mere creature could suffer: so too, there is not a single glory or gladness of the Resurrection in which she is not now made to participate....

White  ℣. In resurrectione tua Christe, alleluia. ℣. In thy resurrection, O Christ, alleluia. ℟. Cœli et terra lætentur, alleluia. ℟. let heaven and earth rejoice, alleluia. LET US, TODAY, turn to another subject. Let us think upon that unfortunate Jerusalem, which, a few days hence, re-echoed with the blasphemous cry: Away with him! Away with him! Crucify him! Is the City impressed by the great events that have taken place in her midst? Is the report still afloat of the Sepulcher’s being found empty? Have Jesus’ enemies succeeded in tranquilizing the public mind by their lying scheme?...
