Florida Republican Congresman Matt Gaetz has been exonerated after 62-year-old Stephen Alford was recently indicted by the Department of Justice for extortion. "Stephen M. Alford did knowingly and willfully devise, and intent to devise, a scheme to defraud and for obtaining money and property by means of material false and fraudulent pretenses, representations, and promises, and for the promise of executing such scheme, did cause, and attempt to cause, a wire communication to be transmitted in interstate commerce," the indictment states.

Former Vice President Joe Biden is the presumptive Democratic Party presidential nominee. He has received the endorsements of every major figure in the party, including former President Barack Obama, and 2016 Democratic Party presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. Biden was also endorsed by all his opponents in this year’s nomination battle, including U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT). Despite this unified support and his consistent lead in the polls over President Donald Trump, Biden is in serious trouble. His media appearances in the past few weeks have been embarrassing. Biden continues to make serious gaffes, looks confused and does not inspire any...

Brett Kavanaugh has been sitting on the Supreme Court for only a month, and the memory of his confirmation hearings cast a strong shadow over the Tuesday congressional elections. You could ask Sens. Claire McCaskill in Missouri, Heidi Heitkamp in North Dakota or Joe Donnelley in Indiana. Several Democrats in competitive races who voted against his confirmation lost. Sen. Joe Manchin from West Virginia, the only Democrat who voted to confirm him, won. Sen. Lindsay Graham, a Republican of South Carolina, says one of the reasons Republicans retained control of the Senate was because of the "despicable" way Democrats treated...

My last column elicited tens of thousands of comments – from the thoughtful to the sick – on the internet and Twitter. In the column, I made two points. One was that the accusation made against Judge Kavanaugh – for which there is no evidence, that was made by an anti-Trump activist, that concerns an event that allegedly took place in high school 35-plus years ago at an unidentified time and place, that has been either denied or not substantiated by the other named individuals who were allegedly present, and that is against a man known for an entire adulthood...
  • The Fragile Role Of Memory In The Allegations Against Judge Kavanaugh

No matter what happens this week, we’ll likely never truly know what exactly, if anything, happened between Christina Blasey Ford and Brett Kavanaugh that night in 1982, or even between the judge and his latest accuser, Deborah Ramirez, who after “carefully assessing her memories” from a drunken college party 35 years ago, has finally decided that it was, indeed, Brett Kavanaugh who exposed himself to her that night. This isn’t necessarily because Ford and Ramirez are purposefully lying – although they very well could be – but because all the evidence we have, or don’t have, so far seems to suggest...
  • What Is the Real Message of #MeToo?

The feminist website Babe published an account of a date gone bad. The pushback has been swift and sharp. I share some of the concerns of the critics, but I also think young women are sending a message that is being missed. The account by the anonymous "Grace" about a bad date with comedian Aziz Ansari was, if not "3,000 words of revenge porn" (Caitlin Flanagan's phrase), certainly a low journalistic blow. To permit an anonymous accuser to assassinate the character of a famous man is a sucker punch. He may have behaved badly, but even assuming that her entire...
  • Dem Senators Call on Trump to Resign 'Immediately' (They can pound Sand!!!)

Three of President Trump's female accusers spoke with NBC's Megyn Kelly Monday about their experiences, all claiming he took advantage of them sexually. Former beauty pageant contestant Samntha Holvey alleged that Trump made her feel like "a piece of meat," Rachel Crooks, a former receptionist, claimed he forcibly kissed her, and Jessica Leeds, a traveling saleswoman, says he groped and kissed her on an airplane. The White House has dismissed them as "false claims," as Kelly reiterated on her show. These women's stories, however, were enough to convince Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) that the president needs to step down "immediately." Should...

Last week, Mediaite’s Larry O’Connor, who also used to write for our sister site Hot Air, and Fox News contributor Richard Fowler discussed the so-called “Weinstein Effect” with host Shannon Bream. We’ve heard the numerous and rather stomach churning stories of sexual abuse and harassment ever since women started to come forward about fallen Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein. Now, it’s spreading to other industries in the country. We’ve had liberal media figures, other Hollywood producers, and even a Pixar executive either losing their jobs or facing such a possibility for their bad behavior. Of course, no one is for sexual...

The United Service Organizations, commonly referred to as the USO, has been bringing entertainment to the American Armed Forces since 1941. In wartime and during peace the USO has been there to help bring a little bit of ‘home’ to soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen, serving in all corners of the planet. Back during the Vietnam War, Bob Hope was famous for entertaining the troops in Vietnam for many years running. Bringing along with him many well-known Hollywood celebrities and entertainers, and televising his USO tour for families at home, hoping to catch a glimpse of their loved...

"If men were angels, no government would be necessary," James Madison argued in Federalist 51. But he went on to say, "If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself. A dependence on the people is, no doubt, the primary control on the government; but experience has taught mankind the necessity of auxiliary precautions."...
  • Al Franken, Groping 'Giant of the Senate'

In the wake of the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment/assault scandal, allegedly feminist entertainers are being accused left ... and left. The latest is comedian/Sen. Al Franken. Photographic evidence undeniably proved that he placed his hands over a woman's breasts while she was asleep on an airplane returning from a USO tour in 2006. The woman, KABC radio anchor Leeann Tweeden, added that he forced his tongue down her throat during a rehearsal of a skit for the soldiers. Now ask yourself: What if Franken's most hated rival, Sen. Ted Cruz, had been pictured doing exactly that to a sleeping woman...
  • 5 Reasons Men Are Reluctant to Get on the Sexual Harassment Bandwagon

"I think it's important for victims to come forward. I also think it's important to remember that Duke Lacrosse and UVA happened." -- Matt WalshSince the Harvey Weinstein case broke into the news, we’ve been deluged with stories about women who were sexually harassed, raped or molested in Hollywood and elsewhere. This is not a bad thing. Let me repeat that: this is not a bad thing.Exposing abuse to sunlight is the best way to stop it. Moreover, if we didn’t have a prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment, I’d be okay with rapists being impaled on a sharp stick. Using...

Tinseltown is no longer glittering. The movie industry was already foundering because of technological advances in media and entertainment. The latest string of flops pouring out of the studios has signaled that Hollywood's malaise is bad, really bad this time. But it’s good for us. The liberal, progressive agenda thrived on big money from media moguls and movie stars. Moviegoers were funding this institution, which invested in candidates and causes against our freedom, our traditional values, our constitution, and our Judeo-Christian culture. There is no better representative of Hollywood’s epic down fall than Kevin Spacey. This actor would sing, dance,...

Most Americans haven’t forgotten the bald-faced lies the Clintons told about Bill’s affairs and molestations along with the sheer savagery of the attacks their surrogates launched against these women. For example, we all remember Bill Clinton perjuring himself by saying, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.” Of course, Bill was lying which helped lead to the House voting to impeach him. The Senate attempted to follow suit and although 50 Senators voted for impeachment, they didn’t reach the 67 vote threshold needed to send Clinton home in disgrace. What you may not remember was the...
