Do Senate President Robert Travaglini (D-East Boston) and his Democratic Senate colleagues even have a copy of the Massachusetts Constitution? They probably figure they don't need the 227-year-old document since it's easier to make up the rules as they go along. It's now up to the Supreme Judicial Court to remind them of their constitutional duty to properly set a special election date to fill the seat of Sen. Cheryl Jacques (D-Needham). Notice, by the way, we didn't refer to the former Sen. Jacques or the recently retired Sen. Jacques. Jacques is still the senator of the Norfolk, Bristol and...

Thursday morning, August 12, there was a debate on Rush Radio with Jeff Katz. It was the first time both candidates had debated each other. Although the Bielat campaign had refused to debate Sholley for many months now, they finally relented and allowed the debate to take place even if it was at the absurd time of 7:00 AM At the moment a poll at the Fleming and Hayes website has Sean Bielat (46%) and Earl Sholley (54%) out of a sample of 1522 voters.

Thursday morning, August 12, there was a debate on Rush Radio with Steve Katz. It was the first time both candidates had debated each other. Although the Bielat campaign had refused to debate Sholley for many months now, they finally relented and allowed the debate to take place even if it was at 7:00 AM while most people were trying to survive rush hour traffic, or gulping down a well needed cup of coffee. Still all and all I was glad they were finally discussing the issues, and found the confrontation quite refreshing and long overdue. At the end of...

Not to long ago, I wrote an article entitled “Earl Sholley Continues to Impress” which has received numerous hits on the various blogs where it was posted from curiosity seekers around the country who are very interested in seeing Barney Frank removed from his perch in the Congressional sphere of influence. My support for his campaign was also inspired mostly by my desire to give Barney his walking papers as well, not only for the depressing conditions in the 4th Congressional District following his 30 year reign, but for the great harm he has done to this country as the...

  • BARNEY'S PASTOR BALONEY (What could have prompted Frank to aim one of his verbal barbs at Obama?)

BARNEY'S PASTOR BALONEYLast updated: 2:05 am January 1, 2009 Well, that didn't take long. Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank hasn't quite broken with Barack Obama, but he criticized the president-elect - and in a way rarely heard from a left-wing Democrat. Obama, complains Frank, "overestimates his ability to take people, particularly our colleagues on the right, and, sort of, charm them into being nice." Now, what could have prompted Barney Frank to aim one of his celebrated verbal barbs at Obama? The issue is the prez-to-be's invitation to evangelical pastor Rick Warren, a vocal opponent of same-sex marriage, to deliver the...
