Sam Raimi's The Quick and the Dead is an interesting yarn featuring some tight writing and fine performances from an ensemble of very good thespians. It also sports a really good 4K HDR transfer that makes it even better. The Western drama stars Sharon Stone (who also co-produced), Gene Hackman, Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio. All are, or were, gunslingers who congregate in a nondescript one-horse town called Redemption for a gunfighting competition in which all comers shoot it out with whoever challenges them, the winner taking home a huge pot (well, chest) of money. Stone is a woman bent...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) Hollywood continues its slow death spiral. – Actress Scarlett Johansson became the latest victim in the left’s war on women on Friday, and hardly anyone noticed. Johansson had been cast to play a transgender character in a film tentatively titled “Rub and Tug” which had been lined up to begin filming in 2019. In taking the role, Johansson would have added her name to a long list of heterosexual actors who have played such roles in movies. But the radical left LGBTQ movement decided to make an example of Johansson, taking to...

Italians are questioning the reasonableness and effectiveness of their complex and strict gun control laws. From thelocal.com: While 26 percent of people questioned in 2015 said they supported looser laws on owning a gun for self-defence, the latest research carried out by social studies institute Censis and private security sector organization Federsicurezza found that 39 percent were in favour. The percentage was highest among people with a low level of education and the elderly, rising to 51 percent among respondents who hadn't completed high school and 41 percent for the over-65s. The study also found that the number of...

Tens of thousands perhaps more are set to march and rally in the center of British government, Whitehall, in London at 10am this morning Eastern time, 3pm in London for the latest "Free Tommy Robinson" event. A leaflet promoting the event says that US Representative Paul Gosar of Arizona is one of the speakers. Robinson was arrested May 25th when he live streamed outside of a child sex abuse trial involving a case of industrial scale with Muslim defendants. He was jailed for 13 months for contempt of court and now is in solitary confinement in a prison with a...

Recent negotiations between North Korea's Kim Jong Un and US President Donald Trump have provided a glimmer of hope for the hermit kingdom's economic outlook. Markets are now watching to see whether the North Korean leader follows through with his pledge to denuclearise. The next step will be policy reforms, which will open North Korea's economy to foreign investors. Credit Suisse analyst Trang Thuy Le estimates North Korea could become a $100 billion economy within 10 years if it takes a path towards modernisation. Even it happens, a $100 billion economy still comprises just 0.1% of today's global GDP....

It is time for Americans to wake up, stand up, #Walkaway from the new Democrat [Socialist] Party Intermarriage is not always a matter of race or religion - sometimes it is a matter of politics. In 2008, Barack Hussein Obama officiated at the wedding of the Democrat party and Socialism. In this case the bride and groom came from very different family backgrounds with diametrically opposed world views and political perspectives. The bride’s family, Constitution, was 242 years old and deeply committed to individualism, equality, liberty, and limited powers of government. The groom’s family, Socialism, came to America in 1877...

The advantages of cash far outweigh any advantages of a cyber currency. It's for all these reasons that Americans should reject Fedcoin During the Obama administration, Marxists came up with the idea of creating Fedcoin to replace physical money altogether. The idea was to create a new cyber currency like Bitcoin but controlled by the Fed. In 2016, there was an article in Moneywise titled, U.S. Government Awards $7 Billion to Develop New Fedcoin, and it stated: “At this year’s ‘World Economic Forum’ in Davos, Switzerland, Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz declared that the U.S. “could and should move to...

It is high time to write the words “The End” on ‘Peter Scoffer’s litany of alibis What the devil were former FBI agent Peter Strzok and the Democrats trying for during Strzok’s appearance before the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees yesterday? This is one public Democrat Act that went well beyond the main takeaway:that Strzok’s infamous message to mistress, former FBI lawyer Lisa Page: “We will stop him” (Trump) was based not on his “bias” but on his “deep patriotism”. The takeaway went well beyond because the manner in which he gave it lived on to give people who watched...

A recent Survey Monkey poll (exposed by Wiki leaks as a Democrat collaborator willing to create fake poll results) showed bad news for a few Democrat Senators who will be running for re-election in states won by Donald Trump in 2016. This “survey” is a pile of crap that makes no sense. The popular interpretation of the results of the recently released Survey Monkey (SM) polls are wrong. They surveyed the re-election chances of Democrat Senators in states that were won by Donald Trump in 2016. SM found four of these vulnerable Democrats were already behind; and given the political...

Image of 11 foot Alligator from Victoria Advocate, 2009 On Friday afternoon, 29 June, 2018, a 15 year old girl, Jordan Broderick, was floating on a raft in Freek creek in the Ocala National Forest. That section of the creek is in Lake County Florida. Alligators chased her up a tree. Her mother called 911 and reported that alligators had treed her daughter, and were aggressive. From foxnews.com: "My daughter's stuck in a frickin' tree and there's gators surrounding her!" Broderick's mother reportedly told a 911 dispatcher. "Oh my God! Please hurry! Please hurry!" Deputy Mitch Blackmon responded to...

More than 210,000 people have signed a petition on the web site of the South Korean president’s office demanding that an “abominable” gay pride festival scheduled to take place in central Seoul this weekend be cancelled. The three-day Seoul Queer Culture Festival is marking its 19th anniversary this year and will include art exhibitions and a film festival. The highlight of the event will be the Seoul Queer Parade on Saturday afternoon around Seoul Plaza, the historic square in front of the city’s old City Hall that was the fulcrum of the March 1919 independence movement and the June 1987...

A White House report said Thursday most Americans living in poverty who receive government benefits are not working, even though they are able to -- a published backing for the Trump administration's plan to impose new work requirements for welfare recipients. The 66-page report from the White House Council of Economic Advisers said poverty numbers of non-disabled adults are "a deeply flawed reflection of material hardship." The study said most non-disabled working-age adults who receive Medicaid, 61 percent, do not work or work very few hours. The other two major welfare programs, Medicaid and food stamps, have similar numbers. The...

'Inclusive' Boom: It may be a surprise, but President Trump is nowhere near as unpopular among minority voters as the biased mainstream media suggest. Why is that? In a word, jobs. Trump, it turns out, has been the most consequential president in history when it comes to minority employment. In June, for instance, the unemployment rate for Hispanics and Latinos 16 years and older fell to 4.6%, its lowest level ever, from 4.9% in May. The previous all-time low was 4.8%. African-American unemployment bounced up from its all-time low of 5.9% in May to 6.5% in June. But that 6.5%...

The southern Dutch city of Eindhoven plans to unveil the world's first 3D-printed housing complex next year, which its inventors believe could revolutionise the building industry by speeding up and customising construction. Printed in concrete by a robotic arm, the project backed by the city council, Eindhoven Technical University and several construction companies aims to see its first three-bedroomed home go up by June 2019. Known as Project Milestone, a housing complex of five homes of various shapes and sizes will be built over the next three to five years, financed by private investors, said Rudy van Gurp, one of...

Here’s hoping the ‘unusual’ email he sent them blows right up in Rosenstein’s smug face. Donald Trump is not America’s president, at least according to the fully active treacherous Deep State. For all intents and purposes Robert Mueller III’s ‘Special’ Counsel is POTUS. Broken token Jeff Sessions is not the Attorney General, Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein is. With not a single vote to his name, Robert Mueller inserted himself over 63 million Trump voters on May 17, 2017—the day his special counsel was impaneled.

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) Hey, remember when Democrats pretended to thing “ageism” was a bad thing? Yeah, not any more. – San Fran Nan, the 78 year-old leader of the Democrat minority in the U.S. House of Representatives, finds herself increasingly under bigoted attack over her advanced age from her opposition these days. The hilarious thing about it, though, is that Ms. Pelosi’s “opposition” these days comes not from any right-wing forces, but from her fellow Democrats in the House. Turns out the youngsters in the Democrat caucus are growing more than a tad frustrated over...

Three Democrat Maine legislators are using their position to demand the biggest gun store in Maine, stop selling rifles the lawmakers disapprove of. Kittery Trading Post has been a successful business since 1938. From nh1.com: The Democratic lawmakers wrote a letter to Kittery Trading Post, asking the store to restrict gun sales and to discontinue sales of what the lawmakers said are assault-style rifles.
