ESPN has pulled Rachel Nichols off of her sideline reporting gig for the NBA Finals ahead of tonight's series opener after the revelation of a 2020 bombshell video in which she suggested African-American colleague Maria Taylor was given a particular studio assignment to promote diversity. The conversation, revealed on Sunday by The New York Times, was recorded by an unknown party during the 2020 NBA season restart at the league’s bubble in Florida when Nichols was apparently unaware a camera in her hotel room was still attached to a live microphone following a satellite broadcast. Nichols will continue to host...

"Speaking Truth To Power" Ever since the Sherrod, Rangle, Waters issues and for most of the Obozo presidency, I've heard this phrase more and more. I know it is somehow associated with race but I have no idea what it means. To me, the phrase is nonsensical and means nothing. Any help out there to provide some clarity to this? thanks

Last night, as the clock approached midnight and the long House debate on health care reform was finally winding down, Rep. Bart Stupak stepped to the microphone on the floor of the chamber to deliver his remarks. Snip But the "Baby killer furor" highlights a far more serious, long-term political dilemma for the Republicans: how to appear to be a respectable Party capable of governing while also providing political shelter for the highly motivated, though vocally disruptive, protest wing of the party associated with the Tea Party movement.

Luckily, Colorado Attorney General John Suthers isn't Jewish. Or a woman. Or gay. The clown princes and oligarchs of Saudi Arabia don't take kindly to those kinds of people in their midst. Then again, Christians, Hindis, Buddhists, atheists, etc. ... aren't typically welcomed either. Nope, not even when they're "explaining." Like our attorney general was asked to do when he was shuttled over to Saudi Arabia by the feds to "explain" why a Colorado resident named Homaidan Al-Turki was sentenced to 20 years to life. Surely a brief e-mail could have done the trick and saved taxpayers thousands: "Guys, you...

There is a great line in the movie, The Madness of King George. It comes when King George III of England, who is has been confined for madness finds out that his son, whom he hates, is about to usurp his power from him. In order to prevent that from happening, King George must appear before Parliament in order to assure them of his sanity by SEEMING normal. When the crazed King George sort of pulls himself together (temporarily) just before making his Parliamentary appearance, he explains how he was able to manage it by saying, "I have remembered...
