Taiwan’s health minister Chen Shih-chung has said that they are suspending administering second doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech (BNT) Covid vaccine to children in the 12-17 age group amid concerns that it may increase the risk of myocarditis. He said that a panel of experts will review the data on cases of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) and pericarditis (inflammation of the outer lining of the heart) and will decide on the further course of action in two weeks, according to local Taiwanese media. “Taiwan's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices had decided to hold off on administering second doses to...

A lot of people are angry that more doctors aren’t prescribing ivermectin when they first get diagnosed with COVID. However, a Washington State physician assistant lost his license because he prescribed ivermectin. Most doctors, having invested years upwards of seven years of their lives in preparing to be a physician, don’t want to destroy that career over a politically incorrect prescription.Andrea Salcedo, who to my great surprise has degrees in journalism, is a terrible writer. Nevertheless, she has a job at the Washington Post, from which platform she wrote a barely comprehensible article about a physician assistant named Scott C....

The co-founder of fact-checking website Snopes has apologized for plagiarizing more than 50 articles and writing under a fake name. David Mikkelson, a computer science graduate who founded the site in 1994, blamed the behavior on a lack of journalistic training. 'I didn't come from a journalism background,' he said. 'I wasn't used to doing news aggregation. A number of times I crossed the line to where it was copyright infringement. I own that.' Following an investigation by BuzzFeed News, he is no longer allowed to publish articles on the page - although he retains his position as chief executive....

The Chinese communist regime announced on July 30 that it would stop issuing passports to Chinese citizens indefinitely while repeatedly stressing it was an anti-pandemic measure. However, outside of China, many have queried what the real motive might be in restricting people’s mobility. On Wednesday, Liu Haitao, director of Border Inspection Management of the Chinese regime’s Immigration Administration, said at a Chinese State Council press conference, “China will strengthen entry and exit management at ports and borders, strictly prevent the import of epidemics, and strengthen various measures.”One of the measures was to “strictly restrict the cross-border movement of non-emergency and non-essential...

Just yesterday, we discussed the censoring of a commentator by Twitter for merely expressing an opinion over the need for a “pause” on any federal mandates on Covid-19 as new research is studied. Now, a former New York Times science reporter, Alex Berenson, has been suspended for simply quoting the results from a clinical trial by Pfizer and raising questions over any vaccine mandate. In the meantime, the White House accused both the Washington Post and New York Times of irresponsible reporting on Covid, but surprisingly Twitter has not suspended those accounts. It is the license of the censor. Twitter is...

North Dakota on July 8 sued President Joe Biden’s administration over its cancellation of a planned auction of oil and gas leases.Under the Mineral Leasing Act, lease sales must be held at least once a quarter in each state where eligible lands are available. But the lease sale scheduled for March was canceled and a regularly scheduled sale pegged for June was not held.North Dakota officials said in the lawsuit, filed in federal court, that the illegal cancellations appeared to be in response to a Biden executive order that directed the secretary of the Interior to “pause new oil and...

President Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani has been suspended from practicing law in the state of New—for the most ridiculous of reasons. The Supreme Court of the State of New York ruled on Thursday that Giuliani violated rules of professional conduct for supporting Trump’s claims of election fraud in the 2020 presidential election. “There is uncontroverted evidence that respondent communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public at large in his capacity as lawyer for former President Donald J. Trump and the Trump campaign in connection with Trump‘s failed effort at reelection in 2020,” the 33-page order...

In a move much like the European nations who halted the distribution of the Astra-Zeneca vaccine, the Food and Drug Administration called for an immediate halt to the rollout of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. This came after it was reported that six women between the ages of 18 and 48 reported blood clots and one died, after taking the vaccine. The move is odd. General reactions from social media are memes about the J&J vaccine’s supposed inferiority and skepticism of what is really going on with this particular vaccine. Many believe that there may be a coverup at works....

There could be a significant First Amendment case brewing in New York after the School of Education at the State University of New York-Geneseo suspended student Owen Stevens for posting his view that gender is limited to biologically males and females. As a state institution, SUNY is subject to the limitations of the First Amendment and Stevens could challenge the action based on his statements on Instagram. I have not been able to find the letter sent to Stevens by the school but it is quoted on a conservative website, The Daily Wire. According to that report, Owen posted on...

I was just on Citizen's Free Press, and was ignoring it for a few minutes due to a Hallmark Christmas movie. Anyone else have this happen to them? Chances Are....

HOUSTON — Harris County Commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday night to change the engineer of record on the Sam Houston Tollway Ship Channel Bridge after a review found one portion that had not yet been built contained a potential design flaw. The Harris County Toll Road Authority hired an independent consultant, COWI North America, Inc., to review the design of the bridge. HCTRA deputy director John Tyler told KHOU 11 in January that COWI found the possible weakness in December 2019. The design comes from FIGG Bridge Engineers, Inc., the same company behind a Florida pedestrian bridge that collapsed in 2018,...

YouTube has suspended the One America News Network from posting new content for one week and has completely demonetized the channel, after the pro-Trump news network reportedly uploaded a video touting a non-approved 'cure' for COVID-19.According to Axios, "YouTube has been criticized for allowing OANN to spread misinformation using its platform, particularly around coronavirus and the election," adding "This marks the Google-owned service's first crackdown against OANN."In addition to the temporary ban on videos, the network cannot livestream due to a "strike" received under YouTube's COVID-19 misinformation policy, which prohibits content claiming there is a 'guaranteed cure' for the virus....
