Reports say Ralph Cioffi and Matthew Tannin will face charges in connection with their management of hedge funds that collapsed in June 2007. NEWARK, N.J. - A Tenafly councilman faces numerous drug charges after a traffic stop in Newark. Jeffrey Romano, 43, was arrested Wednesday by members of the Essex County Narcotics Task Force. Authorities said they found 40 glassine envelopes in Romano's possession, each containing a powdery substance believed to be heroin. County Prosecutor Paula T. Dow said the officers stopped Romano's vehicle after they observed "narcotics activity" in the area of Bradley Court, a public housing complex in Newark.
