Rep. Earl Blumenauer, D-Ore., has said that the protests in Portland aren’t as bad as they appear. “Portland, Oregon, is not out of control,” Blumenauer said Tuesday in a floor speech. “To be sure, there are some people who have strong feelings and there are some who have done things that are inappropriate and unlawful.”

Leading conservative activist and entrepreneur Michelle Malkin was attacked by Antifa and Black Lives Matter thugs Sunday at a “Back the Blue” rally in support of police at the Civic Center amphitheater in Denver. Ironically, the Denver police on the scene did not intervene at first, apparently under orders by police Chief Paul Pazen who marched with BLM protesters last month. Malkin says she was not hurt in the attack in which Antifa and BLM thugs rushed and took over the stage, though video shows her being roughed up. The attack was recorded on Malkin’s livestream Periscope video. After about...

For days, federal agents in unmarked cars have reportedly been snatching Portland protesters off the streets. On Thursday, video emerged of federal agents clad in camouflage fatigues and unspecified “police” patches apprehending one such demonstrator and placing him in an unmarked vehicle. Social media lit up with speculation about the intentions—and the identity—of these agents. A memo consisting of internal talking points for the federal agency responsible for the arrest, Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and obtained exclusively by The Nation provides some answers—and raises even more questions. Dated July 1, the memo is titled “Public Affairs Guidance: CBP Support...

Police accused protesters of vandalizing a police vehicle, breaking into a Portland Police Association (PPA) office, and setting it alight. Police later said the fire had been extinguished and that they “restored order to the neighborhood.” Eyewitnesses said that federal police also clashed with protesters near the Justice Center building. On 60 Minutes, Anderson Cooper took a deep dive into the debate over the removal of Confederate monuments. Cooper sat down with Mayor Levar Stoney of Richmond, Virginia. "The monuments are just a symbol of the effort to ensure African Americans stayed, maybe not in physical bondage, but in bondage in political and economically in this country and in this city," said Stoney, who added, "Those who chose to erect those monuments, and the figures who are glorified in those monuments, they made some serious attempts to ensure that people who look like me would never hold any political office,...

“Trust in Trump’s America is gone.” The coronavirus crisis has caused a dramatic deterioration in the European public perception of the US and left many believing the EU had become “irrelevant”, new polling finds. The new survey by the European Council for Foreign Relations (ECFR) says the pandemic has traumatized Europeans and left them “feeling alone and vulnerable”. The survey studied the views of Europeans towards the EU and notably its response to the coronavirus crisis and the results did not make for positive reading. “There is a powerful sense among citizens of almost all surveyed member states that their...

The rioters were “throwing things into their street fire to...

Floyd died May 25 in Minneapolis after a white police officer knelt on Floyd’s neck and did not stop as Floyd pleaded for air and ultimately went unconscious. United Nations “experts” slammed President Donald Trump’s call to label Antifa as a terrorist organisation, claiming it will undermine Antifa’s right of “peaceful assembly” — despite many instances of violence by the far-left anarcho-communist group. On Friday, the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) posted the flag of Antifa on their official Twitter account, saying that a group of human rights “experts” at the globalist organisation had expressed “profound concern over a recent statement by the U.S. Attorney-General describing Antifa and other anti-fascist activists as domestic terrorists, saying it undermines the rights to freedom of expression and of peaceful assembly...

Fox News contributor Jason Chaffetz said on Tuesday that the Seattle protesters who occupied several blocks of public property, blocking the space from others, amount to “domestic terrorists.” “I think what the people are doing there is not just protesting. It’s not peacefully assembling,” the former Utah representative told “Outnumbered Overtime.” Chaffetz said that President Trump intervening in the protests is not warranted unless there is a federal level crime being committed. Chaffetz also said that addressing the Seattle protest should be solely within the purview of the local, county, and state jurisdictions of Washington. “I think it’s intimidation and...

His death has ignited protests across the nation and worldwide. “We think it is a moment to really discuss this issue, as you have...
