Twitter users are calling for Jimmy Fallon to be 'cancelled' after a Chris Rock impression he did in 2000 resurfaced showing him wearing dark makeup. It's the second time the clip has emerged in recent years and has reignited the debate on blackface and cancel culture. Most recently it surfaced when Megyn Kelly was let go from The Today Show in 2018 after she defended blackface Halloween costumes.

Megyn Kelly’s ouster at the Today Show was great for the franchise’s viewership, according to Variety, with Nielsen reporting an impressive 10% bump in advertiser’s coveted 25-54 demographic during the third hour Kelly used to host. There’s been a 4% jump in viewership for Today as a whole. But will the boost endure? Kelly was booted on October 26, just two days after defending the use of blackface on her program. The cancellation of Megyn Kelly Today topped off 12 months of tumult that’s plagued Today, beginning with Matt Lauer’s alleged sexual misconduct and ouster in October 2017. But it...

The atmosphere is so bad around Megyn Kelly at “Today” that producers of the 7-to-9 a.m. slot, hosted by Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb, are openly sniping at her. Kelly, who takes over “Today” at 9 a.m., had “congratulated” Kotb, “Mean Girls”-style, when the latter landed Matt Lauer’s job. On Jan. 2, Kelly said to Kotb, live on air, “We talked recently about how, 10 years ago, your life was very different. You were going through a dark period.”

A pleasant and caring man, one who reveled in his mostly modest playing career in the big leagues, his receded -- not receding -- hairline and, it seemed, all facets and phases of his decades on the planet, has left us behind, behind and smiling. Joe Garagiola, a most entertaining, engaging and convivial sort, has died, bringing to an end a full, rich life and leaving the game without one its most enduring personalities, an energetic crusader and folksy humorist.

An Internet-born movement to encourage solidarity with teen victims of gay bullying has spurred several celebrities, schools, and media to officially promote the pro-homosexual campaign by wearing purple this past Wednesday. A young woman named Brittany McMillan, who spread the idea on her Tumblr account, and was championed by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), reportedly began the movement, which is intended to memorialize homosexual youths who have killed themselves. Several media outlets endorsed the movement, including CNBC, the Today Show, E!, HGTV, Philadelphia Magazine, Ms. Magazine, The View, and numerous Spanish-language media. Even the New York Stock...

BC: I must say that I am filled with admiration for the way you sat before those inquisitors/twits on The View and remained dignified throughout. Apart from publicly displaying your bravery, what’s the payoff from appearing alongside those demented harpies? Ann Coulter: Being around that bunch makes me feel younger and more attractive! It’s like going to a spa. BC: Do you have any untelevised comments from that appearance you wish to share? Perhaps something along the lines of their lambasting you during a commercial break? Ann Coulter: Actually I think the show speaks very well for itself. That’s why...

On this morning’s Today show, NBC’s David Gregory challenged Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards about his vote for the Iraq war, his relative lack of experience, and his divisive us-vs-them rhetoric. But Gregory had absolutely no reaction when Edwards grandly claimed that his phone call to Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf in the hours after the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto “was a calming influence” that helped stabilize an “international crisis” and was proof he is “ready for the Presidency.” “We just had this, this international crisis in Pakistan that is still ongoing. And my response to that was...

The annual Halloween extravaganza on the "Today" show took a rather ghoulish turn on Tuesday morning, when Meredith Vieira's first big entrance as a "Today" co-host was conspicuously unseen. After Ann Curry and Natalie Morales sauntered somewhat awkwardly onto the stage as Cher and Madonna, respectively (the theme: divas), the big reveal -- Vieira coming out Bette Midler-style as a mermaid in a clamshell -- fell flat, and viewers were treated to the truly horrifying sight of a stagehand's denim-ed bottom, and several seconds of confused fans in Rockefeller Plaza.

I've been on vacation, and upon snapping on the TV this morning to check the forecast, I see Bill O'Reilly uneasily in the guest chair chatting it up with Katie Couric on The Today Show! To me, the world had turned upside down. Am I missing something? How long has this been going on? Is he a regular? From what I saw (in amazement), they briefly discussed the following: *His new book ("The O'Reilly Factor for Kids") *Harriet Miers (O'REILLY: "I say, 'Give her a chance!'" and "The right wing are a bunch of hippocrits because they complain about the...

Fired by CNN last August after serving three years as president, Rick Kaplan has indicated he'd like to return to broadcast news -- on one of the networks. "I think people know I want to come back," Kaplan told the Philadelphia Inquirer Thursday, indicating that he had no preferences among the three major networks. "It's not if I can find a beautiful woman to marry, it's whether any beautiful woman wants to marry me. I'm hopeful." [On Thursday, the New York Daily News reported that Today show host Katie Couric was rumored to be drumming up support for Kaplan to...
