Tom Sizemore, the “Saving Private Ryan” star who forged a lengthy Hollywood career amid addiction struggles and run-ins with law enforcement, has died. He was 61. The veteran actor’s passing after a brain aneurysm as the result of a stroke at his Los Angeles home on Feb. 18 has been confirmed by his manager Charles Lago.

Sad news Monday evening—actor Tom Sizemore’s representative reported that his doctors have “informed his family that there is no further hope and have recommended end-of-life decision” after he suffered a brain aneurysm last week in Los Angeles.

A stuntman who worked on the USA Network series “Shooter” sued series star Tom Sizemore and Paramount Pictures Corp. Friday, claiming he was struck and seriously injured by an SUV driven by the allegedly drunken actor last summer. Steve DeCastro and his wife, Carly DeCastro, are the plaintiffs in the Los Angeles Superior Court lawsuit. They are seeking unspecified damages on allegations of negligence, unusual risk, battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress and loss of consortium.
