It reads like a cast of characters for a detective film noir: powerful politicians, shady businessmen, high-ranking law officers and an idealistic, persistent prosecutor. The plot includes allegations of corruption, cover-ups and the naked exercise of power. Let's title this movie "Rogue Runner" — only this story is not fiction. It's the code name Davis County Attorney Troy Rawlings has given the sprawling probe he has spun off from the investigation that ensnared former Utah Attorneys General Mark Shurtleff and John Swallow. And now, in a dramatic twist, Rawlings wants a state grand jury this summer to hear the evidence...

Attorney General Jeff Sessions may have declined calls to appoint a second special counsel to investigate the FBI’s behavior during the 2016 campaign, but the man he has picked to lead an internal Justice Department review is a special counsel in every way but name. John W. Huber, the U.S. attorney in Utah, can convene a grand jury, issue subpoenas, collect evidence and order witnesses to testify — all the usual powers a federal prosecutor has — as he delves into whether the FBI abused its powers when it sought permission and then carried out wiretapping of a Trump campaign...

Clinton operations receive tens of millions of dollars of contributions from Uranium One/Russia Interests (Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of State for all records of communications relating to Uranium One (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:18-cv-00722)). The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on March 29. Judicial Watch sued the agencies after they failed to respond to two December 22, 2017, FOIA requests. Judicial Watch asked the...

Special counsel Robert Mueller's team has taken the unusual step of questioning Russian oligarchs who traveled into the US, stopping at least one and searching his electronic devices when his private jet landed at a New York area airport, according to multiple sources familiar with the inquiry. A second Russian oligarch was stopped during a recent trip to the US, although it is not clear if he was searched, according to a person briefed on the matter. Mueller's team has also made an informal voluntary document and interview request to a third Russian oligarch who has not traveled to the...

A Canadian mining company is close to finalizing a deal that will give a Russian company controlling interest in its uranium operations, which include a Utah town, a uranium mill and thousands of acres of claims. In October, four members of Congress urged the U.S. Treasury Department to block plans by Uranium One to sell majority ownership to the mining company, Atomredmetzoloto (ARMZ), whose parent company is Rosatom, the Russian nuclear agency, to protect national security. Since then, the Treasury Department has approved Uranium One's plans, as has the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Utah Division of Radiation Control.

The former FBI informant at the heart of the Russian Uranium scandal, William D. Campbell, has given an exclusive, on camera interview to The Hill - in which he reveals that he was interviewed in December by FBI agents from the Little Rock, Arkansas for five hours about the Clintons. Of note - Campbell's attorney is Victoria Toensing, a former Deputy Assistant Attorney General under Reagan who is now handling the Mueller investigation for President Trump along with her husband, former federal prosecutor Joe diGenova (also of note, newly minted National Security Advisor John Bolton was Reagan's Assistant AG, presumably...

NOTE: Noticed spelling errors in this post have been corrected. NEWS HAS BEEN BREAKING OF RUSSIA-CONNECTED CORRUPTION WITHIN THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. BUT—SURPRISE, SURPRISE—IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DONALD TRUMP AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH BARACK OBAMA. Apparently, as Obama’s administration was approving a titanic deal to give Russian companies stock in U.S. uranium, the same Russian individuals were engaged in all sorts of nefarious behavior. Corruption, bribery, and various underhanded activities. We never learned about it, because it appears the FBI at the time was covering it up. And who was responsible for the cover up? Oh, just the...

Special Counsel Robert Mueller unsealed charges on Oct. 30 against Paul Manafort and his business partner Richard Gates related to lobbying work they did from 2006 to 2015. According to the indictment, Manafort and Gates did not register as foreign agents while lobbying on behalf of the Ukrainian government, and tried to hide tens of millions of dollars they received in payments. Both have pleaded not guilty. The case may be much broader, however, and may include related actions of the Podesta Brothers—John Podesta was campaign manager of the Hillary Clinton campaign—and to a uranium deal tied to the Russians...

Barack Obama came into office looking to be Vladimir Putin's BFF. One of his first actions in office was to scrap a proposed missile shield for Eastern Europe. During his 2012 re-election campaign, Obama had declared that the Taliban was decimated, He had already declared the war in Iraq over, and ISIS was the JV. He lied about every one of them. Then he went on to vigorously defend Russia. During one of the debates, Mitt Romney named Russia as the number one geopolitical foe. In response, Obama scolded Romney for his naive view: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0IWe11RWOMThe Cold War is over. The...

Most sapient Americans—those who are skeptical of the mainstream media—know the outrageous but largely unreported story that Bill and Hillary Clinton, with the help of Obama officials and over congressional experts’ objections, allowed Russia to gain control of 20 percent of America’s uranium supplies. What is unknown is whether the Clintons sweetened the deal for their Russian friends by engineering closure of a million federal acres of the nation’s best source of uranium. The “evidence” of such mischief is purely circumstantial, but it is disconcerting. Here is what we know, thanks to the reporting of the estimable Andrew C. McCarthy,...

NEW YORK — Jonathan M. Winer, the Obama State Department official who acknowledged regularly interfacing with the author of the controversial, largely discredited 35-page anti-Trump dossier, served as senior vice president of a firm that did lobbying work for Tenex, the U.S. subsidiary of Rosatom, the Russian state corporation headquartered in Moscow. In 2010, Rosatom infamously purchased a controlling stake in Uranium One, the Canadian uranium mining company with operations in the U.S. The purchase was approved by the Obama administration in a decision that is currently being probed by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

I've been trying to confirm Uranium one executives perished in the recent plane crash in Russia. Snopes says Hillary had nothing to do with it and the Ceo of U1 was not on board. I understand Snopes is a partison publication so I moved past it. Then there was some stuff from Jerome Corsi but I couldn't make sense of it.

Iran unveiled a series of new homemade nuclear-capable ballistic missiles during military parades held over the weekend, a move that experts view as a bid to bolster the hardline ruling regime as dissidents continue efforts to stir protest. On the heels of an encounter between an Iranian drone and Israeli forces, Iranian leaders showcased their ballistic missile capabilities, which includes a nuclear-capable medium-range missile that appears to share similarities with North Korean technology, according to experts. The nuclear-capable missile can strike Israel even when fired from Iranian territory, raising concerns about an impending conflict between Tehran and the Jewish state that...
