The Latest on the Viganò Letter Drama… Vatican II Church Meltdown – Day 10 Developments & Reactions This post continues our coverage of the ongoing ecclesiastical Chernobyl unleashed by the accusations of the former Vatican nuncio to the United States, “Abp.” Carlo Viganò, which were first published on Aug. 25 and have the potential not only to bring an end to the Francis “pontificate” but even to throw the entire Vatican II Sect into unprecedented chaos: Monday, Sep. 3, 2018 In first weekday sermon after summer break, Francis casts himself as humble Christ-like victim of vicious slander perpetrated by people...

VATICAN CITY, August 29, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – A group of the faithful were chanting what some say is the name “Viganò” at the end of today’s general audience with Pope Francis in St. Peter’s Square. Some, however, are saying the crowd was only chanting the name of a bishop on stage with the Pope. The chant came at the end of the audience, after the customary praying of the Our Father and bestowal of the apostolic blessing. Listen to the chant in the video below.

Editor’s note: The following interview is between Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, now world-famous for his explosive testimony, and Aldo Maria Valli, the reporter with whom Viganò originally planned the publication of his allegations against Pope Francis and several high-ranking Vatican cardinals. For the adventure of how Archbishop Viganò’s report came to be, click here. Monsignor, how are you doing? Thanks be to God, I am doing very well, with great serenity and peace in my conscience – this is the reward of truth. The light always conquers the darkness. It cannot be suppressed, especially for the one who has faith. Therefore,...

ROME, August 28, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) - Archbishop Carlo Viganò rocked the world when he permitted a handful of reporters to publish his testimony that Pope Francis had knowingly returned a sex abuser to a position of influence in the Catholic Church. But one of the reporters also described Viganò’s demeanor as he prepared his statement, revealing a deeply principled and courageous elderly priest staggering under a burden of sad secrets. Aldo Maria Valli, whose stunning report has been translated and posted below, invited Viganò home for supper when the cleric asked to meet. Feeling safe among Valli’s family, Viganò spilled...

In the wake of explosive accusations (PDF link) from former apostolic nuncio to the United States Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò about the complicity of high-ranking churchmen – including Pope Francis – in covering up abuse from Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, a number of Catholic bishops have issued public statements of support for Viganò and concern over the allegations he has brought to light. Thus far, the list includes: Bishop Joseph Strickland of Tyler, Texas, who ordered all priests of his diocese to read his statement this past Sunday – a statement in which he asserted that he found the allegations “to be credible” and...
  • Viganò issues new statement, documents to clear his name of false charges

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, whose extraordinary testimony implicating Pope Francis and several senior prelates in covering up Archbishop Theodore McCarrick’s alleged sexual abuse of seminarians and priests, today has issued a written statement, rejecting as “false” accusations that are now being used to discredit him.  SIGN THE PLEDGE: Support and pray for Archbishop Viganò. Sign the petition here. Archbishop Viganò has also released supporting documents to prove his innocence. The accusations date back to a 2016 New York Times report, alleging that, as U.S. Nuncio, Viganò “quashed” an independent investigation into sexual misconduct on the part of Archbishop John Nienstedt, who was...

After a Vatican official released a bombshell testimony claiming Pope Francis knew about McCarrick, theological leftists are going into panic mode. Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, former papal nuncio to the United States, came out with an 11-page testimony on Aug. 25 accusing the Pope of removing sanctions against ex-cardinal Theodore McCarrick that had been imposed years prior by then-Pope Benedict XVI. The archbishop said there was "a conspiracy of silence" among Church leaders, which involved covering up homosexual predators like McCarrick while promoting the homosexual agenda. The Catholic Left is pushing back now, trying to discredit Abp. Viganò and his allegations — as well as...

As the days go by it is ever more evident that Francis has by no means dismissed or punished Monsignor Dario Edoardo Viganò, for the way in which he used the letter that Benedict XVI had written to him.On the contrary, he has confirmed and even reinforced his powers, explicitly renewing his mandate to bring to a conclusion soon the incorporation of all the Vatican media, including “L'Osservatore Romano,” in a “single communications system” entirely under his control, with a direct line to the pope and intended to preserve his image as an exemplary pastor and now also as a...

Lettergate produces a casualty: Msgr. Viganò. Well… not quite. Posted on 21 March 2018 by Fr. John Zuhlsdorf Lettergate has produced a casualty… another casualty, the first being the Truth.Or did it?The Prefect of the Secretariate for Communications, Msgr. Dario Viganò  – who so botched the the handling of the pro-Francis booklet roll out by unscrupulously slicing and dicing Benedict XVI’s letter and then weaponizing it – has resigned.  The Bolletino has a declaration from the Holy See Press Office’s Greg Burke.  It includes links to Viganò’s letter and Pope Francis’ response. Not content with writing just a resignation letter Viganò extends the agony with...
