She is every bit the socialist Bernie Sanders is, but is less honest about it. She is mean and vindictive. She considers herself above the law No one has to explain to me about the rough-and-tumble nature of presidential primary races. I know a little something about this. They’re hard-fought because everyone wants to win, and while it’s usually not personal, no one is taking any prisoners because everyone wants the prize. Been there. Done that. I get it. But in every nominating contest I can ever remember, the party came together when it was over and got behind the...

Republican front-runner Donald Trump continued his pivot toward general-election language this weekend, saying in an interview airing Sunday that he's "very much a unifier." "I mean, I get along with people. I'm a unifier. I'm very much a unifier," Trump said on CBS' "Face the Nation." "And maybe people don't see that. But they will see that." The comments come after a noticeable shift in Trump's tone following his big victories on Super Tuesday. Since then, the candidate has suggested he's be a deal-maker who can be "flexible" and compromise with his opposition if he's elected. Trump also insisted he's...

Liberal TV host Bob Beckel on Wednesday claimed he was “bludgeoned” by a White House official over the phone after he criticized the Obamacare rollout and suggested the law’s implementation should be delayed for 6 months to a year. “I said, ‘look, you can’t do this thing — yes it’s true, [Obamacare is] not a website, but it’s a portal to get through to get insurance,’” Beckel said. Beckel’s claim line up with other media personalities that have made the same type of allegations against the Obama administration. CNN’s Carol Costello on Wednesday morning said “President Obama’s people can be...

I have an uncle in Wisconsin. He's slightly mentally handicapped and lives in subsidized housing because of his income level. In tribute to my Grandma (who's been gone a number of years and of whom I still miss), I send my uncle a check every month. The check is only $30.00. I believe he uses it for living expenses that aren't covered by assistance. I rarely get an acknowledgement/thank you from him - unless of course, I'm late in mailing it out. My uncle voted for Obama. Normally, I say "Live and let live" and let it go at that....

President Obama on Wednesday pulled rank on the Republican presidential candidates, announcing a key jobs speech next week on the same night as a GOP 2012 primary debate in California. The two-hour debate, at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, was supposed to start at 8 p.m. on Sept. 7. In his letter to congressional leaders Wednesday, Obama requested to speak before a joint session of Congress at the very same time. ... The White House insisted the timing was coincidental. Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters there were many scheduling "considerations" and suggested the president has no interest in detracting...

Forget about whether Rudy Giuliani is too moderate to win over the conservatives who dominate the nomination process in the Republican Party. The real story is whether the opera buff's nascent presidential bid will be crushed under the weight of the Pucciniesque life of the 107th mayor of New York. We all know about the first wife who was his second cousin, the second wife who found out she was being divorced while watching television and the third wife who was barred by court order from the mayor's residence or from meeting Giuliani's children, Andrew and Caroline, there before the...

The NY Times points cranks, radicals, al-Qaeda operatives and would be assassins to the summer homes of Cheney and Rumsfeld - Friday, June 30, 2006 12:36 PM In an apparent retaliation for criticism of its disclosure of classified intelligence to America's enemies, the New York Times June 30th edition has printed huge color photos of the vacation residences of Vice President Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld, identifying the small Maryland town where they live, showing the front driveway and in Rumsfeld's case actually pointing out the hidden security camera in case any hostile intruders should get careless: http://travel2.nytimes.com/2006/06/30/travel/escapes/30michaels.html Make no...

As we reported last week, Venezuela's vengeful dictator, Hugo Chavez, continues to target eight helpless fired oil workers for long prison terms. Their "crime" was leading a strike. Former Venezuelan oil company executive Gustavo Coronel points out that they are, shockingly, being charged with crimes and neglect against the state oil company that happened after they were fired from their jobs by Chavez himself on live television. In today's El Universal, another Unapetrol oil union leader speaks out, pointing out the shifty legal maneuvers the Chavez court has engaged in over Christmas to deny the eight arrested strike leaders any...

My old friend, Larry Bolin, died in custody of the Atlanta Prison Camp this morning of what is suspected to be a blood clot in his heart. He was incarcerated last year for what was to have been a four year term for participating in an alleged "mail fraud" (he was a hired employee of the guy they REALLY wanted and ultimately got). The REAL reason for his prosecution (aka vindictive persecution) was his refusal to tell federally constructed LIES about the other guy at trial. Lots of folks in jail here for THAT! Before his term began, Larry spent...
