This comes just days after another group, known as Jefferson County Vision, filed a lawsuit against the authority for allowing the insulation plant to locate in Ranson. A Tuesday afternoon Jefferson County Development Authority meeting would have included the final reading of a water bond for Rockwool. A meteorologist who works at a West Virginia television station was accused of shoving a news anchor on Sunday and fracturing her skull. WSAZ-TV weather forecaster Chelsea Ambriz, 26, of Huntington, was charged with misdemeanor battery after she allegedly shoved station anchor Erica Bivens, the Charleston Gazette-Mail reported. Bivens suffered a ruptured eardrum and skull fracture after she was allegedly shoved down by Ambriz, the newspaper reported, citing a criminal complaint. It doesn’t say what caused the dispute or where it occurred.

According to the criminal complaint, Daniel Goffreda, 32, of Poca, WV, has been charged with two counts of Child Neglect Creating Risk of Injury. The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office says Goffreda drove to a Kroger in the Cross Lanes area on Sunday, Agust 26th, 2018 with his 2-year-old and 5-year-old sons in the car.
