US gyms offer yoga for dogs A chain of gyms in the US has started offering yoga classes for dogs. Crunch is offering "Ruff Yoga" at its New York branch and is considering offering it in other locations. During a recent session in Madison Square Park, the class attracted nearly 20 people and their pets. "We do the traditional poses. The dogs just get incorporated," Crunch's yoga director Suzi Teitelman told Fox News. Yoga guru Bruce Van Horn says the relaxed state people achieve through yoga rubs off on their animals if they're nearby during the exercises. "It actually reduces...

Madonna is in trouble. Her American Life album drops from number 1 to about number 8 this week, selling a paltry 65,000 copies. That's down from 235,000 the first week.

Of course, the whole record business bottomed out last week, with the top 10 albums selling fewer than 750,000 copies. Rapper 50 Cent (search) regained first place, and two albums connected to American Idol did well enough to make the top five. Additionally, Cher (search) continues to astound with her greatest hits collection.

Washington, DC, Apr 17 (OneWorld) - A major environmental group has declared a ceasefire in its three-year campaign against Citigroup, the world's largest private financial institution, after new commitments by the giant lender to adopt more responsible social and environmental policies in deciding what projects to finance. Citigroup's decision to more seriously engage one of its main critics, Rainforest Action Network (RAN), came one week after the San Francisco-based group launched a major ad campaign to persuade Citigroup credit card holders to destroy their cards to protest the company's support for projects and industries that environmentalists consider particularly harmful. The...

LOS ANGELES — She's publishing a series of kiddie storybooks.

She's working with scientists who have discovered how to neutralize radiation.

She's plotting to make a documentary about Kabbalah, a religious philosophy based on Jewish mysticism.

Who's that girl?

These days, Madonna strives to be neither material nor immaterial. After straddling the heights of wealth and celebrity for two decades, the pop diva is on a quest for meaning. And in American Life, due Tuesday, that means questioning the impulses behind her own rise to riches.

Bush supporters have been deluging ABC with calls and e-mails, complaining about a sitcom the network has in development starring outspoken war protester Janeane Garofalo. ABC HAS reportedly been working on the comedy, in which Garofalo plays a producer at a TV newsmagazine. The pro-war protesters are threatening to organize a major campaign against ABC, including a boycott of advertisers, if the network airs the show. “We do not wish to see the faces of liberal Hollywood, particularly those that provided aid and comfort...

I've been watching C-SPAN's coverage of a meeting of the OAH, the Organization of American Historians. One of the speakers called the Bush Administration an "illegal regime."
