Pro-Life Agenda for the 2004 Democrat National Convention, Boston
The Boston Rescue ^ | 07.23.04

Pro-Life Agenda for DNC

It’s John Kerry’s home town, and it’s where the Democrat Convention will be held—the Abortion Candidate of the Abortion Party. So, it is imperative that there be a prophetic witness for Life in Boston during this time, all the more so as Kerry contends that he is a “believing and practicing Catholic”!

We have scheduled most of our activities on July 24 and 25, before the convention starts, since the media will mostly fixate inside the Fleet Center during the Convention. We especially want good numbers at the July 24 rally and the July 25 Life Chain.

Speaker [CHANGED!]: Dr. Paul Schenck (brother of Robert), serves as a Pastoral Associate with Priests for Life and Director of Gospel of Life Ministries, an ecumenical outreach to the broader Christian community that seeks to form alliances across denominational boundaries.
Raised in a Jewish family, “Chaim” was baptized at age 16. He served for twenty-two years as an Evangelical minister and Anglican pastor, before his recent conversion to Catholicism. He is an author and editor.
He founded two parochial schools, a ministry to the homeless, and an international relief organization.
He married his high school sweetheart, Rebecca, shortly after they graduated and they have eight children.

1. Boston Action Alert

Starting this weekend, thousands of pro-aborts will be swarming Boston for the Democratic National Convention.  While we do not endorse political parties or candidates, we do oppose the slaughter of babies, no matter who is promoting it.  The official Democratic Party platform supports the slaughter of one-third of our generation through surgical abortion.

In response, members of Rock for Life Boston and Rock for Life Capital District (Albany, N.Y.), along with many other pro-life activist groups, will be a voice for the babies during this time.  If you are in the area, we ask that you prayerfully consider attending one or more of their events.  The babies and their mothers need you to stand up and be a voice for them while politicians speak out against life.

For a list of events, click here.  For additional information from an activist in the trenches, call 717-341-2994.

For the babies,
Erik & Mickey

I loved David Limbaugh's line about what one has to believe to support Kerry:

"Life begins at conception, but so what!"

BATTLE OVER PRO-BUSH SIGN AT BOSTON PIZZERIA
Fri Jul 23 2004 11:19:45 ET

The 24-foot-long sign at Halftime Pizza across the street from Boston's FleetCenter isn't exactly welcoming to the Democratic National Convention: "Say!!!!! D.N.C. Thanks for Nothing!!! Go Bush."

Security measures and the availability of free food for delegates led Mark Pasquale, owner of Halftime, to shut his restaurant down for the week of the convention and erect the sign.

MORE

On Friday, WRKO-AM's Peter Blute and Scott Allen Miller reported how Pasquale has been confronted by city inspectors who have threatened to fine him unless he takes the anti-Dem sign down!

Pasquale told Blute and Scotto that while he doesn't want any trouble, he will continue to exercise his First Amendment rights by keeping the sign up in spite of any fines.

Kerry cited in Catholic heresy case

MEDIA SUING TO OPEN KERRY'S SEALED DIVORCE PAPERS

More Bias and spin in the many newspaper articles to protect the liberal democrat. Kerry provided NO evidence of an annulment and he was married to Heinz, his second wife worth Billions,  in the back yard of a home on Martha's Vineyard which is not ordinarily allowed for Catholics and there is also NO evidence of any RC priest who married them.

I wish the reporters would question him for the truth. Dream on.

Catholics Against Kerry

1400 Ecclesial communities derived from the Reformation and separated from the Catholic Church, "have not preserved the proper reality of the Eucharistic mystery in its fullness, especially because of the absence of the sacrament of Holy Orders."236 It is for this reason that Eucharistic intercommunion with these communities is not possible for the Catholic Church. However these ecclesial communities, "when they commemorate the Lord's death and resurrection in the Holy Supper . . . profess that it signifies life in communion with Christ and await his coming in glory."237

Can.  844 §1. Catholic ministers administer the sacraments licitly to Catholic members of the Christian faithful alone, who likewise receive them licitly from Catholic ministers alone, without prejudice to the prescripts of §§2, 3, and 4 of this canon, and ⇒ can. 861, §2.
