I hope I will be permitted to post this in Front Page news.

The reason is that so many people say that Gov. Bush should have done more and he didn't do enough, and this article shows that he is going above and beyond, leaving no stone unturned to save Terri.

With so many posts, if I posted it to another thread, a lot of people would miss it, and I think Gov. Bush deserves that people know how hard he is trying to save Terri.

I want to know why the courts are free to ignore the authority of the legislature, the U.S. Congress & the executive branch, while the governor for some reason feel obligated to kowtow to the courts.

"It is frustrating for people to think that I have power that I don't, and not be able to act," Bush told The Associated Press on Thursday.

Jeb! You were elected as the executive authority of the state of Florida! All state civil servants take their orders from you! You have a judiciary engaged in a conspiracy to concel evidence and to assist in murder. Your citizens have the RIGHT TO LIFE!

Act, Jeb. Play the man!

Some people just don't feel normal if they aren't bitching. Jeb is doing all he can, bottom line.

i don't have any issue with either president bush or governor bush on this. they've done more than others in their place would have done.

but i find the death of this woman disgusting.

i cannot believe that our country is so mean-spirited (to use a democrat term).

I only hope that regarless of how the Schiavo issue is resolved. that the governor will take it upon himself to force some changes in his state's corrections and law enforcement departments. Maybe he can prevent some future child molester from being paroled, or if paroled then at least keep track of the molester's whereabouts. That might keep some future 9 year old girl from being abducted, assaulted for a day or two, and then buried a few hundred yards from her own bedroom.

the only "thing" that Jeb Bush can do is act on his constitutional authority as chief executive of Florida and have the DCF act on its statutory function and take terri into protective custody while abuse is being investigated.

Bush is like the Schindlers....there is nothing going to come through the courts and time is growing shorter. He must ACT and not rely on a court. He can if he will

Greer should be held in contempt of Congress and is violating the law by not holding a de novo review of the case

"It is frustrating for people to think that I have power that I don't, and not be able to act," Bush told The Associated Press on Thursday. "I don't have embedded special powers. I wish I did in this particular case."

I wish I'd kept a ping list for this one.

I'll admit I've been emotional and yelled at a few people because I cannot understand how ANYONE would advocate death. I can understand lashing out in frustration at not being able to stop an innocent's woman Death by decree of the Judiciary.

But Jeb Bush and the President are not the enemies. Terri's family has stated they have no doubt he'd help if he could. perhaps they need to consider why they are on the opposite side of the most affected members.

Most people forget about the power of the Sheriff.

A growing number of concerned, alarmed, and dismayed individuals, as well as groups, are becoming aware of a dangerous move to ELIMINATE LOCAL COUNTY SHERIFFS' OFFICES and LOCAL law enforcement. The tradition of local government emphasizes the importance of local sheriffs as the SUPREME AUTHORITY in the counties. That is why the sheriff is elected by the people, not appointed. The county sheriff, as the only elected law enforcement position in the county, and holding this traditional position of high authority, can step in to uphold his duties of protecting the people of his county. A sheriff is a part of our system of checks and balances so that government cannot misuse its authority. Local sheriffs MUST NOT abdicate their authority or duties to ANYONE (judges, government, county commissioners, local chieftains etc.) except TO THE CONSTITUENTS THEY SERVE as a proper functionary of local county government. That is why the sheriff is elected by the people, not appointed to become a mouthpiece, instrument, or representative of the Federal Government or any of its agencies.

Thanks for posting this,F O.

You knew, of course, that the thundering herd of Jeb trashers would pounce.

That the very man who has kept Terri alive is suddenly to be the man to be villified seems to be a popular pastime around here.

I don't believe everything has been done. Greer has ordered not only that her feeding tube be removed but also that no one can give her food or water by mouth!.. Now that is a blatantly illegal order and you don't have to be a lawyer to figure that one out! I defy anyone to provide legal justification for a judge -- even in Florida -- to order that an innocent person convicted of no crime cannot be allowed to take food and water by mouth just like every other human on earth. I have heard nothing of a challenge to this order by Jeb Bush on the radio or TV talk shows.

Bush is so intent on getting the feeding tube in they are overlooking the fact that she may be able to take nourishment by mouth. She is swallowing saliva and we don't know that she can't handle nourishment by mouth because Greer and Michael have prevented any attempts. She has the basic human right to try. Has anyone attempted to challenge Greer on this? If Greer exceeded his authority and violated her basic human rights in his zeal to kill her then the Governor has every right and obligation to step in and stop this judicial abuse of her human rights and he can do it right now. The problem seems to be he wants the courts permission to do the right thing but he isn't going to get it.
