Two people killed - a Palestinian woman and her young daughter - and eight wounded when Israel Air Force strike in Khan Younis misses targeted terrorists, hits family eating dinner in their home

An Israeli Air Force strike targeting terrorists in Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip Wednesday evening killed two people and wounded eight more, members of a family who were eating dinner in their home.

According to Palestinian reports, an IAF aircraft fired a missile towards a car driving through the city, but it missed the vehicle and struck a building.

The casualties were members of a family who were sitting down to dinner when the missile hit their home. A woman, was killed instantly, and her young daughter suffered fatal wounds and passed away some hours later in hospital. The wounded were identified as Abed al-Kader Ahmad, his wife, mother, three children – two of them under the age of five – and a pregnant woman, who was in critical condition.

Security officials said the air strike targeted a Popular Resistance Committee terror cell. Palestinian sources, however, said it appeared the missile was aiming at a Magnum van in which Muhammed Sinuar, a commander of the Hamas military wing in south Gaza, was driving.

Hamas has not confirmed the report. Following the strike, all the Palestinian factions threatened to escalate attacks against Israel.

More innocent victims

On Tuesday three Palestinian children – 6-year-old Muhammad Roka, his 5-year-old sister Nida and 16-year-old Bilal al-Hizi, were killed Tuesday evening as the Israel Air Force attempted to assassinate a group belonging to the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades in the Jabalya refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, the al-Shifa Hospital Director Dr. Jumaa al-Saka told Ynet.

The Israel Defense Forces expressed its regret "if civilians not involved in terror activities were hurt in the operation," adding that "responsibility lays on the terror organizations and on the Hamas government."

Another 15 people were wounded in the strike, including two group activists who were in the car and sustained serious wounds.

Maybe if the hamas and islamic jihad nitwits stopped lobbing missles into Sderot and Israel proper, perhaps innocent people wouldn't be getting killed by Israeli munitions aimed at the perps doing the indiscriminatly firing.

You would think that after a few times the palestine people would learn that and revolt against hamas and islamic jihad. I'm convinced the palestinian people must be incredibly brainswashed not to come to that conclusion.

I may be in a minority of one or two on FR and in the American public in general, but I despise the British government- always have- because of their attitude towards Jews and Israel.

They never disappoint me.

"The killing of innocent civilians, and particularly children, is completely unacceptable," said Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett. "The continuing violence on both sides, and the tragic death of a number of children and civilians in Gaza and West Bank in recent weeks, is making the prospect of a negotiated, peaceful resolution more distant." "We strongly urge maximum restraint by the Israeli military to avoid further escalation of an already very tense situation," Beckett said. "We call on the Israeli authorities to respect their obligations under international law and ensure that civilians, particularly children, are not harmed. In addition we call for an immediate halt to all rocket fire from the Gaza Strip on Israeli targets."

As an after tought she mentions the daily rocket fire on Israel.

Why no such comments the several times a day rockets are fired from Gaza on Israel?

Israel left Gaza. What is the justification for the daily attacks?

Tell them London. What should Israel be allowed to do to protect themselves. And how far did you go to protect the Malvinas when you believed your nationa interest was at stake? And did Israel criticize you?
