Of course I wasn’t referring to private/encrypted communications and Apple certainly does a better job at not monetizing your data than Google but even your Apple data is all still accessible by the deepstate and Five Eyes.
I was referring to most “free” email, all social media including Twitter/Facebook/Instagram, smart phone app data, spending habits, e-commerce usage, browsing history, search history, etc...

Thanks for taking the time with the informative reply.
In regards to the nat security component-
I recall that congress blocked Dubai Ports World Inc from taking over control of some our ports at one time too.

Actually I don’t want them to take Smithfield with them. Rather just pay them pennies on the dollar and allow a new company to form. Then take back the farmland they bought and pass a law that American land and businesses are NOT for sale to foreign interests.

He doesn’t care about money because he essentially owns all of China.
Money is the root of all evil, and China will accept as much money as it can to cause more evil. When billions of dollars are at stake, those billions can be used to cause billions of dollars worth of evil.
Xi may 'own' China at the moment, but, Chinese leaders come and Chinese leaders go. He won't be China's leader forever.

Both are notorious spies on their citizens the Chinese are just open about it.
So, both are equivalent in their notorious spying, with good and evil intentions? Are they morally equivalent in their spying? How much have you been affected by the spying of the U.s. vs the Chinese spying. Which do you prefer to spy on you? How much control do you have over any kind of spying? I'd rather have no spying, but, if I had a preference, I wouldn't choose the Chinese. You obviously don't care if the Chinese spy on you or anyone in the U.S.

Are you trying imply the US government has “good intentions” when it spies on it’s citizens?

If the libertarian lunatics were in charge during WW II, the German Wehrmacht would have been given permission to goosestep up Fifth Avenue in New York City...because freedom of association.

Don't be so dense.
I don't like being spied on by anybody...
but...
when it comes to intentions...
I'd prefer the intentions from the American side... What do you think?
Are the American spies as bad as the Chinese spies? Are they morally equivalent?

i think the US government has become such where they are not only morally equivalent, they are actually the same with methods that vary only slightly.

Then, you better stay off the internet and watch out, they're coming after you.
However, do you think you'd still be able to post things like you just posted, if the U.S. was as morally corrupt as the Chinese? The Chinese would've already taken you into a prison or to somewhere that you'd never be heard from again.
Don't respond to me, or you'll be taken into custody by the oppressive U.S. government.

Common sense says that, the love of money would not exist, if there wasn't money available for that love of money. Thus, money if the root of all evil. Without that root, the love of money would not exist.
Logic is not that easy, is it?
