A definite setup for a tax increase. I can't wait for the "I worked harder on this problem than any other problem in my life, but there is no other solution except to raise taxes." speech.

Why elect Simon to save the socialists? A better strategy may be to let the socialists implode.

I'm afraid I have to agree on this. Even if Simon is elected, the legislature is overwhelmingly Democratic. Simon would just give them a rallying point. It will take a political implosion to get them out. Some on the order of Proposition 13. One more term of extreme mismanagement might enable changes in the state constitution.

The governor said that California is in better shape today than it was three years ago and that he has positioned the state for success.

I know we joke about it but the he really is mentally unstable that has to be one of the most absurd statements I have ever heard
