I get queasy when a liberal paper like the CC Times says things are playing into Simon's hands. I think Simon is better off selling how his ideas are better for California and saving the issue of Davis's corruption for later. If all he gains is to be seen as constantly harping on Davis, this issue will have been the successful rope-a-dope I feared that it might become.

"He's got to convince people that this issue has put him back in the game," said Bruce Cain, a UC Berkeley political science professor. Simon's campaign appeared to founder after his stunning, come-from-behind defeat of former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan in the March primary.
Yes, I see. One questionable Field Poll showing a 14-point Davis lead (for no apparent reason) leads to two statements here claiming the campaign is foundering. Guess nobody told that to the President of the United States when he held a massive fundraiser for Simon a few weeks back.
Then came a Field Poll revealing that Simon, virtually even with Davis in March, had plunged to 14 points behind the governor.
Okay, one outlying poll is equal to a floundering, hopeless campaign, but four separate polls showing Simon leading by 2-7 points equals "virtually even."
Nope, no agenda here.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! What the 'twisted liberals' 'End Justifies the Means' group can do with the 'TRUTH'?
*******
Every point in this article is 'twisted' into timing to downplay Simon, as if Simon had advantage and were losing it.
I hope to have time to reconstruct it in an 'unbiased' or even pro-Simon format later today.

I'm sure that you've noticed that the major media have frozen out the Green Party's gubernatorial candidate from getting ANY press.
Wouldn't want any Democrats defecting from the Plantation, after all...
