For parents who want to give their children a reason why they shouldn't consent to such unchangable, frivolous, trendy madness -- here you go.

Gee, and I thought the brain damage came BEFORE the tongue-piercing. Shows what I know.

Not like her brain was a bright one to begin with. She was a drug abuser and tongue piercer - who would say to that, "What a brain!"
To: StoneColdGOP
Pffffffffff.....I'm "special" all right. I hang around you! LOL.

True enough. The people who are crazy enough to hang out with me and enjoy it has got to have some serious problems.

Nothing like getting piercings to show off your individuality, JUST LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE.
The 90s are over, kids.

I got my piercings before they became "in". And then I took them out. I wanted them not to be different, I just liked them.
To: Bella_Bru
Hmmm...I had mine, what, 7 years with no problems. Okay. Explain WHY you disfigured and mutilated your body. We can then read and consider your reasoning, and decide if you, too have suffered from brain damage.
To: Timesink
It's not the piercing- it's what they use the jewelry for...

Gee, and I thought the brain damage came BEFORE the tongue-piercing. Shows what I know.I think you are correct.
A person who willingly puts unneeded holes in their body, needs some help.

It was just a general release of steam coming from seeing so many of my friends all doing it en masse over the last few years like a bunch of lemmings.

Beyond earrings, I see no reason to impale or imprint upon the human body for decoration. It adds nothing in terms of attractiveness and can no longer be a symbol of individuality, rather more as part of a herd.
In fact, the co-worker with a nose ring reminds me of cattle in more ways than one.
To: Tall_Texan
but DUUUUUUDE, those belly rings look so HOT dude! ;-)
