Unfortunately, no. They are beyond shame. They are also hypocritical and arrogant enough to think that the American people are stupid. John Edwards (D-NC) commented last week on Fox News Sunday that he didn't think the majority of the American people even knew who Judge Pickering is.

Of course, when you hear some of the man-in-the-street interviews that Jay Leno does, it's a little easier to understand how the Congresscretins get away with what they do.

If it were possible to embarrass those clowns, they wouldn't show their faces again for the rest of their lives.

This has been done before. Remember Senator William Proxmire, D-Wisconsin in the 1970's with his Golden Fleece Awards? It didn't work then and it won't work now.

A tattoo removal program in San Luis Obispo County, California ($50,000);

Oh thank you, thank you, thank you Congresswoman Capps. Now go back to Santa Barbara and leave us alone.

Cooking The Books at Education

"The surest way to bust this economy is to increase the role and the size of the federal government."
George W. Bush - Source: Presidential debate, Boston MA Oct 3, 2000.

"Gore offers an old and tired approach. He offers a new federal spending program to nearly every voting bloc. He expands entitlements, without reforms to sustain them. 285 new or expanded programs, and $2 trillion more in new spending. Spending without discipline, spending without priorities, and spending without an end. Al Gore’s massive spending would mean slower growth and higher taxes. And it could mean an end to this nation’s prosperity."
George W. Bush Source: Speech in Minneapolis, Minnesota Nov 1, 2000.

Vast Criminal Conspiracy - The Congress
"The 535 men and women who make up the House and Senate of the United States include, at best, a collection of rogues, con artists, scofflaws and bad check artists. At worst, they comprise, as Twain once observed, a distinct criminal class."

Can Congress Be Embarrassed into Ending Wasteful Pork-Barrel Spending?

The only way Congress is ever going to end Pork Barrel Spending is if it ceases to exist.
