Ooooh, the keyboard commando meets out justice, that will show me. /sarcasm

You see Dane, in the end, truth, honor, and justice can and will win. That's my only point. You come here spreading lies about something you haven't a clue. Then your bunk buddy reach around pal Howlin comes along to confirm your deceit. Then when you are both proven liars, you try to dismiss the messenger as some sordid psycho "keyboard commando." Think about Dane. Who are you really? And why are you here? Inquiring minds want to know.

Oh, I see. This was a clever insult.

Only problem is, I never claimed to be a legal expert.

So, other to insult me, what was your point? You think Ken Starr is a legal genius. Be my guest. I'm not so deluded.

Then when you are both proven liars,

Liars? This all started when someone said Ken Starr couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag. I just brought up the fact that Starr has won more cases than he lost, in a court of law.

Now the Vince Foster stuff, tin foil theories, and all that gobbledygook, you have an axe to grind based on politcal considerations.

You show where Starr lost one, but the first line of the story belies you,

WASHINGTON -- In his first court setback in the Monica Lewinsky investigation, prosecutor Kenneth Starr lost Thursday in his bid for an urgent appeal to get the Supreme Court to compel grand jury testimony from presidential aide Bruce Lindsey and three Secret Service employees

If he had a setback that means he had victories, although I can't remember them all from the top of my head. Sheesh that was 4 years ago.

Also he did get convictions for Jim Guy Tucker and the McDougals.

You go ahead and grind your axe, you are allowed, but look at the facts before you grind your axe.

LOL. I thought that too. I have a little different opinion than some, however. Floyd Abrams is not going to side with a loser - HE must think this is a winner.

I do wish Mark Levin would get a shot at this; I would PAY to hear the arguments.

Everyone here knows that you challenged me and others to prove he lost a case in a court of law. I merely did so.

Your axe has been dulled and your handle broken. My axe is truth and justice. Beat me if you can.

"Bush told the GOP he wasn't going to do THEIR work for them."

He also told the voters he would veto the bill. He didn't say "read my lips", but still...

Whatever TNP, do your little victory dance that only matters to you, but that still doesn't change the facts that Starr has won many more cases than he has lost.

"Your right...can`t wait to see McCrazy after the Supremes say he`s nuts..."

If it comes to that -- and IMO "the jury is still out" -- I'd expect him to smirk, aim his thumb toward Pennsylvania Avenue, and say, "Hey, Dubya signed the thing and then sent his team to defend it. Why are you looking at me???"

"Tell me which cases Starr has lost in a court of law, especially SCOTUS."

Tell me about the cases he should have taken to court, but didn't, even though he had evidence a-plenty.

Then tell me why...

Wrong! What matters is that truth and honesty prevail. You lied and so did your reach around pal Howlin. The message for you is to get your facts straight. Lies and deceit will not be tolerated here. And when you lie and attempt to deceive, you will be caught as you have been here tonight.

goodnight all

[long "what if, and then what if, and then what if" fantasy snipped]

"Could this be part of the administration's thinking?"

"When you wish, upon a Starr...."

Hey, do you hear that rumbling coming up from the ground? It's the sound of Ockham, rolling over in his grave after reading your post.

Declare victory and go home while doing your little victory dance and thumping your chest at the same time. Anybody can do that and ignore the facts at the same time.

That's your opinion, which can be debated as nauseum.

All I was stating is that Starr has won a lot more cases than he has lost and those are the facts.

He majored on the minor. He choked on the Foster murder. Nothing came out about campaign finance scandals. Whitewater went nowhere. He ducked out to Pepperdine, when the going got tough. Broadderick spilled her guts for nothing.Tripp was thrown to the wolves.

A nice guy, but I'm still not sure if he was merely naive or a shill for a cover-up. He was so mealy mouthed and non-committal during the whole time he was a prosecutor I wondered whose side he was on. Either way, he gets a vote of no confidence from me.

Call me cynical, but I suspect that he uncovered stuff that was so ugly that it scared him out of taking it any further. Maybe the same black bag guys that killed Kathleen Willey's cat (and then caught her while jogging to ask about her children) "got to him", maybe he just figured that "this stuff is too ugly for The American People to handle, it's best left where it is, lest the fabric of society begin to unravel."

All I know is that somewhere along the line he started to -- as you said -- major in the minors, and it was obvious that he wasn't going to let anything major get any kind of traction. Somewhere along the line he seemed to change.

"BTW, can you name the cases Ken Starr has lost in a court of law?"

Bzzzzt! Misdirection alert!

How about the cases he kept out of a court of law?

Bzzzzzt, mis-misdirection alert. Like I said before what cases Starr takes to court or didn't is not the issue.

The issue is how many cases Starr has won in court.
