Actually they did have other evidence, including money from the loan that benefitted the Clintons. L.D. Brown observed a heated argument between Hale and Clinton as Sinkmaster was trying to get him to fund the fraudulent SBA loan. There really are some smoking gun documents but for whatever reason, the prosecution just backed off.

Clinton has dirt on the CIA and the Bush family. Once you realize that the whole investigation was a show for the rubes it all makes sense.

And the idea that Ewing WOULD have indicted [McDougal] had McDougal not died is equally bogus.

Starr had nothing on Clinton except the testimony of Jim McDougal and David Hale . . . .

Afraid it's your reasoning that's bogus here.

Ewing--as you freely admit--had McDougal's testimony in hand--testimony that would have been just as helpful as Susan McD's in getting an indictment from a so-called "ham sandwich" Grand Jury.

Once Jim was safely boxed up in the slammer, word obviously went out from the White House defense team to prison brass at the Federal prison that McDougal should be "helped along" to the next world at the first best opportunity.

That's exactly what happened:

Clinton's 'Circle Of Death'
THE "DEAD WITNESS RELOCATION
PROGRAM" -- We HIDE you REAL GOOD!

- JAMES McDOUGAL -

Bank Embezzlement crook, Clinton's convicted Whitewater partner. Died 3-8-98 of an apparent heart attack, while in solitary confinement, serving 3-yr sentence for bank fraud. He was going to be a key witness in Ken Starr's investigation and died while the reporters who were covering him were away covering a sudden, new standoff in Waco, (which, when he died, suddenly went away.) Jim McDougal suffered a heart attack that was brought on by the diuretics forced on him. They took him out of solitary as he collapsed, then left him alone in the medical wing. Instead of attempting to defibrillate his heart with equipment on hand at the facility, he was taken on a LONG drive to John Peter Smith hospital. Not the closest hospital to the Fort Worth Federal Medical Center, JPS is a welfare hospital, where (in the words of one local,) "they let interns practice on deadbeats".

The single most damning fact to come out of the McDougal death was his injection with Lasix, a diuretic, to force his giving a urine sample for drug testing, even though McDougal was not a known drug case, and Lasix is contra-indicated in cases of heart disease. Lasix can cause excessive diuresis, blood volume reduction, circulatory collapse, and vascular thrombosis, or blood clots. If a matching potassium supplement is not administered at the same time, Lasix can kill. McDougal may have been taking the heart medication Digitalin (foxglove) which cannot be combined with Lasix. Several inmates had gone public with the claim that McDougal was given a heavy injection of Lasix right after he ate lunch, but the prison system has refused to allow those prisoners to be interviewed nor have they released McDougal's medical records.

NEW! The Fort Worth Star-Telegram acquired the official report of the McDougal death via a Freedom Of Information Act request, and report that doctors ignored McDougal's signs of imminent death.

Hillary was crafty to get all those FBI files, it was the beginning of the end of prosecuting her. Have you read "COMPROMISED ~ The Confluence of IRAN CONTRA and WHITEWATER ~ Clinton Bush and the CIA" by Terry Reed about the Mena/drugs/CIA. From Mena Ark. to the White House - How the Presidency was co-opted by the CIA. It is the true story of the Faustian pact Bill Clinton made as gov. of Ark. It tells hos his unbridled political ambitions and his pledge to create jobs for Arkansas led him to compromise his ideals in exchange for support for his pres. candidacy in 1992. Terry Reed is a former Air Force intelligence operative who served in the most secret project of the V N war, Task Force Alpha.

Wall Street Journal says "The most credible aspect of the book is that it was not written with Whitewater in mind. It simply collided with Whitewater."

"It will put to the test Clinton's remarkable ability to survive." ~~The Boston Globe. It is about 700 pages, small type, in the paper back form, and weighs a couple of pounds. I know two guys who were there and they said it is all true.

Thanks for posting the SIGHTINGS link. I have been reading it. If you haven't read the book about ...."Read the truth about Casolaro stumbling on this OCTUPUS and on these crazy PROMIS software driven CIA bank raids." try to get it, excellent book. Reads like an exciting spy novel, but it is true. I think it is OCTOPUS by Jim Keith. It is hard to find a copy, took me months to get my hands on one. As if the US gov. doesn't really want us reading about it.

Mia T, Sen. KnowNothing Victim Clinton Effectively Pleads 5TH in Press Conference by Invoking Spousal Privilege

With President Clinton's encouragement, his half-brother, Roger, collected hundreds of thousands of dollars to lobby on behalf of as many as 13 people seeking presidential pardons and other favors, a key congressional panel has found. <snip>

The probe concluded that the former president and his administration repeatedly failed to properly check the backgrounds of people seeking pardons and <snip> permitted a culture that provided easy opportunities for relatives and close associates of the president to make money on the side by lobbying for clemency and other presidential favors for convicted felons...[R]equests bypassed the normal Justice Department review system and instead went directly to the Oval Office <snip>.

In addition <snip> Rodham, despite his public statements to the contrary, has returned less than one-fourth of the $204,000 fee that he said he had given back to the Vignali family.

The committee also determined that President Clinton granted a pardon to fugitive financier Marc Rich only after his sponsor, former White House Counsel Jack Quinn, went around the Justice Department. Quinn apparently did so on the advice of then-Deputy Atty. Gen. Eric H. Holder Jr., who was hoping to be elevated to attorney general if Al Gore was elected president, the report found. <snip>

Sen. KnowNothing Victim Clinton Holds News Conference
EFFECTIVELY PLEADS 5TH BY INVOKING SPOUSAL PRIVILEGE

by Mia T

WASHINGTON- February 22. Sen. KnowNothing Victim Clinton held her premiere press conference today on Capitol Hill, ostensibly to answer questions about the peddling of White House pardons by her brother and her campaign treasurer. Notably absent among the press queries were any about her own involvement not only in those pardons, but in the larger universe of sold pardons--the incipient clinton scandal du jour--Pardongate.

KnowNothing's brother, Hugh Rodham, secured two of the 141 clinton midnight pardons, one for a cocaine kingpin and the other for a snake-oil swindler. Rodham netted a quick $400,000 for his "work" according to various rodhams and clintons and their assorted lawyers. KnowNothing's campaign treasurer, William Cunningham III, himself a law partner of longtime KnowNothing adviser Harold Ickes, helped obtain last-minute pardons for two convicted felons.

LA FAMIGLIA

Displaying a willingness to throw her brother (along with her husband) to the wolves, Sen. Victim Clinton was quick to make a distinction between her big, bad brother's pardon "work" and that of her campaign treasurer, "a fine lawyer and a fine man." The "family" connection of brother Rodham to Clinton made brother Rodham's "work" bad, bad, bad, whereas the campaign treasurer Cunningham's connection to the senator and her campaign coffers made his securing of two pardons in record time a sterling example of highminded, effective public service.

KnowNothing is apparently not the best of thinkers. If the "family" connection makes lobbying for cocaine-kingpin and snake-oil-swindler pardons bad, bad, bad for brother Rodham, then the "family" connection makes lobbying for the Hasidim 4 (see Keating 5) pardons bad, badder, baddest for the wife, First Lady and senator-elect. Moreover, pardons for votes is arguably worse than pardons for dough.

EFFECTIVELY PLEADS 5TH BY INVOKING SPOUSAL PRIVILEGE

KnowNothing specifically declined to answer when asked whether she discussed the pardons with her husband, effectively pleading the 5th. Turning aside questions about the pardon decisions her husband had made, she told reporters they should address those issues with him and his staff. She refused to say whether he should agree to appear voluntarily before congressional committees investigating the pardons. Interestingly, no one asked her whether she would agree to appear voluntarily before those same congressional committees.

I DIDN'T HAVE SEX WITH THAT PARDON

"I did not have any involvement in the pardons that were granted or not granted," insisted Sen. KnowNothing, seeming to forget her presence at the New-Square/Oval-Office schmooze that secured pardons for the four Hasidic felons who set up a phony school in Brooklyn to swindle the government out of millions intended for the poor.

RESURRECTING RUFF

KnowNothing noted that her"best memory" was that she never spoke to her brother or to Mr. Cunningham about the pardons. With variations of "I don't have a memory" and "my best memory, and avoiding the more obvious "I don't recall" and "my best recollection," KnowNothing reprised the Ruffian standard used during the clinton years to commit perjury without penalty.

I GET LETTERS

...or more precisely, envelopes. During her denials of involvement in any of the pardons, KnowNothing made the curious claim: "People handed me envelopes, I passed them on [and never opened a single one. Honest.]"

I AM VICTIM

Reprising the role of victim that enabled her to win a senate seat in spite of record-high personal negatives and public failures, the senator peppered her answers about big, bad Hugh (understanding that the subtext was big, bad Bill) with "saddened" and "disappointed" and "heartbroken" and "shocked."

UTTER CONTEMPT FOR THE PEOPLE

This session today was cut short by a staffer when reporters appeared dissatisfied by Senator KnowNothing's lack of candor.

In the end, this press conference full of poses, poll-tested phrases and prevarication was just another display of the clintons' utter contempt for the people. Bill Clinton committed the same error last Sunday in his shameless, lie-filled New York Times Pardongate Apologia.

The clintons' fundamental error: They are too arrogant and dim-witted to understand that the demagogic process in this fiberoptic age isn't about counting spun heads; it's about not discounting circumambient brains.

Oh - there was no there there? Jim McDougal was killed by the Clinton goons in the Federal Prison system performing the "hit".

Yet, it will be Starr who will carry McDougal's death on his conscious the rest of his life. Or, at least, he should.

One does not put their key witness against mafia dons in a place where the mafia controlled "guards" have free access to that witness.

Either Starr (like so many) were naive about the murderous capabilities of the Clintons (he may have been since Starr - unlike Schippers - seems to live in lalaland when it comes to the Clinton Crime family's capabilities to murder those who are gonna "Squeal" on them) or Starr himself was compromised from the get go and put McDougal there on purpose - knowing his silent "friends" would take care of this inconvenient and most damning witness against the Clintons.

I tend to go with option 1. Jim McDougal was murdered to prevent his testimony. Mission accomplished.

Same for Vince Foster, Ron Brown, Barbara Alice Wise, Jerry Parks - I am sure you know the list.

DOES RAY REALLY THINK HE IS ELECTABLE??!! A CLOCKWORK ORANGE Q ERTY6 PRIMARY COLORS was a rather pointless pastel pastiche... rodham clinton REALITY CHECK BUMP!

by Mia T

Not Joe Klein's Primary Colors. And not Jack Stanton.
bill clinton is straight out of
Stanley Kubrick's A CLOCKWORK ORANGE.

clinton is Alex,
one of the few truly amoral characters in either film or literature;
not quite as Kubrick (or Burgess) had imagined him, however,
but rumpled, wrinkled, paunchy, edematous,
stripped of the youth-excuse
after 30 additional, pathetic, recidivistic years
of marauding, stomping, raping, gangbanging, deceiving and destroying.

Like A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, the story of bill clinton
is the story about a society that has lost its capacity for moral choice.
But unlike in the less fabulous and no more ironic fable,
clinton is not mere nascent symbol but nihilistic agent.

clinton, like Alex, is the leader of the gang, the "droogies."
Eerily prefigured by the rocking, crooked phallus,
clinton's a conscienceless sadist
who thrills at risk and gratuitous destruction,
whose sexual and non-sexual impotence
is at the root of his obsession with "the old inout."

When Alex kills a woman during a rape, Alex is sent to prison.
When clinton rapes women, girls, his country and God knows what else. . .
and kills? --- check out those fourscore-plus deaths, please!
And don't forget the wag-the-dog, desperately-seeking-a-legacy bombings,
or the cold-blooded Ricky Ray Rector execution---
not clinton but society is imprisoned,
imprisoned in clinton's
besmirched, semen-stained, feckless presidency.

A risible and repulsive result;
yet not even the punch line.

While Alex is conditioned in prison with aversion therapy,
transmuted into a moral robot who becomes nauseated
by the mere thought of sex and violence,
bill clinton and his Thought Police,
in a perverse reverse aversion,
have conditioned society's collective brain
into not mere acquiescence but twisted admiration.

In the end,
if clinton's arrogant, ruthless, reckless nature is restored to him,
it seems the joke will be on all of us,
for it will be a victory for infinite victimhood and irresponsibility,
for seduction, for violence, for nihilism, for anarchy.

We will have set apart clinton as the hero
by making his victims less human than he;
we will have allowed clinton to carefully estrange us from his victims
so that we can enjoy the rapes and the beatings
as much as clinton himself does.

JOE KLEIN UNDERMINES OWN THESIS
Admits to Hannity: "clinton was weak on terrorism"

by Mia T, Mar. 14, 2002

Cn Hannity & Colmes last night, Joe Klein undermined the central thesis of his most recent clinton hagiography, "The Natural," that clinton ran "a serious, disciplined, responsible presidency."

Klein exposed the absurdity of his own reasoning by admitting that "clinton was weak on terrorism," (a position, BTW, that is not inconsistent with the more enlightened current leftist dogma).

But only in a deluded liberal's mind could such an utter failure as a president be considered a successful president...

The clintons' failure to confront terrorism -- the clintons' failure even to recognize the critical need to confront terrorism -- indeed, the clintons' aiding and abetting of the terrorists -- must necessarily be the defining moment of the clintons' --uh -- presidency, trumping even the systematic deconstructing of our society as a democracy by clinton corruption. . .

And all of this, BTW, ultimately renders "sleaze, the sequel" unelectable, clinton "infrastructure" notwithstanding.

It was my impression that the Washington Times, in its characterization of the (incredibly) timely (for the clintons) sudden, quite irreversible departure of Jim McDougal (Crime-family values), was taking poetic--if not legal--license.

Also, it may very well be the view of the Washington Times that tales of bodies of adverse witnesses littering the clinton landscape -- however accurate (and I believe they are VERY accurate) -- serve only to prolong -- and its devastation -- by intimidating even more witnesses from fingering the degenerate scum.

Well, with the help of the 100 corrupt and cowardly cullions, clinton
walked. The senators' justification for their acquittal votes requires
the suspension of rational thought (and, in the curious case of Arlen
Specter, national jurisdiction).
--Musings: Senatorial Courtesy Perverted, Mia T

THE OTHER NIXON

by Mia T

Hypocrisy abounds in this Age of clinton, a Postmodern Oz rife with constitutional deconstruction and semantic subversion, a virtual surreality polymarked by presidential alleles peccantly misplaced or, in the case of Jefferson, posthumously misappropriated.

Shameless pharisees in stark relief crowd the Capitol frieze:

Baucus, Biden, Bingaman, Breaux, Bryan, Byrd, Cohen, Conrad, Daschle, Dodd, Gore, Graham, Harkin, Hollings, Inouye, Kennedy, Kerrey, Kerry, Kohl, Lautenberg, Leahy, Levin, Lieberman, Mikulski, Moynihan, Reid, Robb, Rockefeller, Sarbanes, Schumer.

These are the 28 sitting Democratic senators, the current Vice President and Secretary of Defense -- clinton defenders all -- who, in 1989, voted to oust U.S. District Judge Walter Nixon for making "false or misleading statements to a grand jury."

In 1989 each and every one of these men insisted that perjury was an impeachable offense.
(What a difference a decade and a decadent Democrat make.)

Senator Herb Kohl (November 7, 1989):
"But Judge Nixon took an oath to tell the truth and the whole truth. As a grand jury witness, it was not for him to decide what would be material. That was for the grand jury to decide. Of all people, Federal Judge Walter Nixon certainly knew this.

"So I am going to vote 'guilty' on articles one and two. Judge Nixon lied to the grand jury. He misled the grand jury. These acts are indisputably criminal and warrant impeachment."

Senator Tom Daschle (November 3, 1989):
"This morning we impeached a judge from Mississippi for failing to tell the truth. Those decisions are always very difficult and certainly, in this case, it came after a great deal of concern and thoughtful analysis of the facts."

Congressman Charles Schumer (May 10, 1989):
"Perjury, of course, is a very difficult, difficult thing to decide; but as we looked and examined all of the records and in fact found many things that were not in the record it became very clear to us that this impeachment was meritorious."

Senator Carl Levin (November 3, 1989):
"The record amply supports the finding in the criminal trial that Judge Nixon's statements to the grand jury were false and misleading and constituted perjury. Those are the statements cited in articles I and II, and it is on those articles that I vote to convict Judge Nixon and remove him from office."

* * * * *

"The hypocrite's crime is that he bears false witness against himself," observed the philosopher Hannah Arendt. "What makes it so plausible to assume that hypocrisy is the vice of vices is that integrity can indeed exist under the cover of all other vices except this one. Only crime and the criminal, it is true, confront us with the perplexity of radical evil; but only the hypocrite is really rotten to the core."

If hypocrisy is the vice of vices, then perjury is the crime of crimes, for
perjury provides the necessary cover for all other crimes.

David Lowenthal, professor emeritus of political science at Boston College makes the novel and compelling argument that perjury is "bribery consummate, using false words instead of money or other things of value to pervert the course of justice" and, thus, perjury is a constitutionally enumerated high crime.

The Democrats' defense of clinton's perjury -- and their own hypocrisy -- is
three-pronged.

ONE:
clinton's perjuries were "just about sex" and therefore "do not rise to the level of an impeachable offense."

This argument is spurious. The courts make no distinction between perjuries. Perjury is perjury. Perjury attacks the very essence of democracy. Perjury is bribery consummate.

Moreover, (the clinton spinners notwithstanding), clinton's perjury was not "just about sex." clinton's perjury was about clinton denying a citizen justice by lying in a civil rights-sexual harassment case about his sexual history with subordinates.

TWO:
Presidents and judges are held to different standards under the Constitution.

Because the Constitution stipulates that federal judges, who are appointed for life, "shall hold their offices during good behavior,'' and because there is no similar language concerning the popularly elected, term-limited president, it must have been perfectly agreeable to the Framers, so the (implicit) argument goes, to have a perjurious, justice-obstructing reprobate as president.

clinton's defenders ignore Federalist No. 57, and Hillary Rodham's constitutional treatise on impeachable acts -- written in 1974 when she wanted to impeach a president; both mention "bad conduct" as grounds for impeachment.

"Impeachment," wrote Rodham, "did not have to be for criminal offenses -- but only for a 'course of conduct' that suggested an abuse of power or a disregard for the office of the President of the United States...A person's 'course of conduct' while not particularly criminal could be of such a nature that it destroys trust, discourages allegiance, and demands action by the Congress...The office of the President is such that it calls for a higher level of conduct than the average citizen in the United States."

Hamilton (or Madison) discussed the importance of wisdom and virtue in Federalist 57. "The aim of every political constitution is, or ought to be, first to obtain for rulers men who possess most wisdom to discern, and most virtue to pursue, the common good of the society; and in the next place, to take the most effectual precautions for keeping them virtuous whilst they continue to hold their public trust."

(Contrast this with clinton, who recklessly, reflexively and feloniously subordinates the common good to his personal appetites.)

Because the Framers did not anticipate the demagogic efficiency of the electronic bully pulpit, they ruled out the possibility of an MTV mis-leader (and impeachment-thwarter!) like clinton. In Federalist No. 64, John Jay said: "There is reason to presume" the president would fall only to those "who have become the most distinguished by their abilities and virtue." He
imagined that the electorate would not "be deceived by those brilliant appearances of genius and patriotism which, like transient meteors, sometimes mislead as well as dazzle."

(If the clinton debacle teaches us anything, it is this: If we are to retain our democracy in this age of the electronic demagogue, we must recalibrate the constitutional balance of power.)

THREE:
The president can be prosecuted for his alleged felonies after he leaves office.
(Nota bene ROBERT RAY.)

This clinton-created censure contrivance -- borne out of what I have come to call the "Lieberman Paradigm" (clinton is an unfit president; therefore clinton must remain president) -- is nothing less than a postmodern deconstruction in which the Oval Office would serve for two years as a holding cell for the perjurer-obstructor.

Such indecorous, dual-purpose architectonics not only threatens the delicate
constitutional framework -- it disturbs the cultural aesthetic. The senators must, therefore, roundly reject this elliptic scheme.

In this postmodern Age of clinton, we may, from time to time, selectively stomach corruption. But we must never abide ugliness. Never.

I choose the latter. Else tell me why Starr allowed the Whitehouse and FBI to get away with publically claiming that the FBI files had been returned, when they remained in the Whitehouse for YEARS after Starr told us it was illegal for the Whitehouse to have them. And many other aspects of Starrs Filegate investigation were DELIBERATELY flawed. I don't even think he bothered to answer Barr's letter. Starr was bought and paid for from day one. After all, he was the #2 name (after Fiske) on a list of IC's suggested by the Clintons. Do you think for one minute the Clinton's would have suggested someone they couldn't control. Maybe at the end of the list ... but #2? Anyone who believes that should contact me about a bridge I have to sell.

I did not realize Starr was #2 on Clinton's list. If he was that high up on the Clinton list, then you are right about him being within the control of the Clinton crime family. I suppose he will have to deal with the guilt of what he did, then, won't he, if he did intentionally quash the truly damning investigations of the Clintons. Surely, for nothing else, than for the death of Jim McDougal while supposedly under Starr's protective care.
