Good article, and spot on, IMHO. The IDF is engaged in a wholesale gutting of the PA's operations and the intelligence will be priceless. As with al Queda, the PA terrorists will be on the run and Israel will continue to do what needs to be done a la going after the Munich terrorists. They have to, as we do with respect to al Queda and the terrorist states. This "operation" will be over in days--at least publicly--and the bombings will cease. Keep the PA on the defensive and time, intel and wetwork will give rise to the appearance of peace. The Clymers will have to move on to something else as the smoke and photo ops will dissipate....

The problem now is what to do with him that will cause the least excitement in the Arab world

Cause the least excitement?
Heck, stir up the pot. Drop him off as close to Baghdad as possible. Let Saddam pick him up and take him home.
Could you imagine those two egos together in same city?
One of them would kill the other.

The "Palestinian cause" is taking on water fast but the Arabs keep on bailing.

Fantastic article

I hope Bush reads it so he can finally pull his head out of his ass and see that Arafat is no peacemaker (duh).

The hard truth is that a real "defensive wall" would not begin to work before a Balkan-style exchange of populations. Any Jewish settlements outside the "defensive wall" would have to be withdrawn, and Israel would have to begin evicting the "fifth column" that has been forming within.

Israel should simply annex the "Occupied Territories", initially won in defending their home turf against aggressors. This would achieve more defensible borders and sufficient living space to sustain their population. Any Israeli Arabs who are suspected of sympathy for the Palestinians, or otherwise want to leave, would be "encouraged" to do so.

Post haste.

Then, call the whole affair "over". Unless somebody wants to make something of it...

I'm going to politely disagree with the writer...with a caveat. If Israel is allowed to push quickly through the Palestinian territories and allow her military to do the job, then yes, I think she will be successful.

Perhaps reasonable Palestinian leadership will arise; one that will sign treaties and keep them. One that will not endorse, sustain, and bankroll terrorism. Then a peaceful coexistence can begin. Not until.

There is presently a large traffic of intelligence "content" between the Israeli government and the CIA, Pentagon, U.S. State Department and White House in Washington. Connections between the Palestinian Authority and international Islamist terror organizations, including al-Qaeda, are being established, chapter and verse.

I especially liked reading this.

Not calling the Arab Muslim states, and in particular Arafat, terrorists, gives new meaning to "not talking about the elephant in the living room".

The pretense that he has done anything other than fuel and incite violence, since the moment he arrived, is no longer sustainable. Explosives of the very kind used by Palestinian suicide bombers have been found in Palestinian Administration police caches all over the territories. And Mr. Arafat's constant rhetorical celebration of the cult of "martyrdom" and other forms of homicide is now a matter of public record. His game is up.

Not that that will prevent the lying Arabs and their psychotic Euro-appeasers from ignoring any and all evidence that Arafat is anything other than a "victim of Israeli aggression".

Good post.

I still think annexation and transfer is the only way.

I think that the highlighted paragraph is significant. Also it is important that President Bush has refused to meet with Arafat. I am watching and hoping. It is not an easy tightrope to walk.

God help us all.

The Israeli Jews are now no better than the Nazis that bombarded the ghettos of Poland in WWII. Even going so far as to scrawl numbers on their 'Pali' (a favorite FR term) prisoners.

History repeats itself as WWIII approaches.

The Israelis must work quickly and try to conclude their operation in May -- for the U.S. should be in a position to strike against Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq by early June, and won't need the complication.

The timing disinformation proceeds. CNN claims U.S. not ready; must "rest" from Afghanistan. UK Observer claims military leaders told "in the fall".

In the meantime, Atta's links to Iraqi intelligence are reinforced by the operative captured in northern Iraq discussed in The Christian Science Monitor.

Arafat's Arthur Anderson is billed for martyr posters and bomb belts--Enroned by an invoice; while counterfeit shekels expose another aspect of his funding.

Nice to see Canada pumping something besides anti-U.S./anti-Israel bilge.

When the Hail Mary comes, it won't be where or when or how expected.

Very good article. The intelligence on the PA, PLO, Hamas, is only good if we can use it, or Israel does the same. My hope is that destroying the terrorist organizations may pacify the region far more than a bogus 'peace process' with terrorist hypocrites could do.
