It all started a while back with the Israeli "art student" spy articles. I didn't (and don't) care if the Mossad was spying on us. I expect it. I like to read about and figure out spy stuff is all. But some on this forum didn't want that topic discussed. Anyone who expressed interest got trashed by a wrecking crew. They also denied the story from the day it hit the net. No one knew then (or now) what really happened. They were (and are) playing identity politics. Their group can do no wrong. And they will try to scare off anyone who says anything.

I decided not to be intimidated. Unlike them, however, I do not make personal attacks very often. I get vicious personal attacks on every thread (don't agree with us and you support Arafat, you are just like Hitler, you support Bin Laden, you hate whoever..you are crazy..etc..etc). They throw victimology history at everyone, I throw history back. Everything I said can be checked out. There is a lot more I don't get into because there are limits. And there is material which isn't even available in English. That shows you how biased the history Americans get is. Try to find out who operated in Kiev in the 1930's. There was a lady there as bad as Mengele. But not one in a thousand Americans has heard of her.

I'm not a fan of identity politics. When people defend others of their group just because of the relationship, it is dead wrong and corrosive to a free society.

There are a lot of idiots flinging around a lot of insults on FR on many various issues. I get the feeling it comes from people who are skinny pushovers in real life so they lash out on the internet to get rid of their repressed anger (I should be a psychiatrist). I try not to stoop to their level.

I've gotten called a secret Jew, a secret Catholic, and told that Evangelicals are as bad as the Taliban. I usually take it light heartedly, I guess I have a weird sense of humor, but I just laugh at most of the insults.

You are one of the serious posters who makes an effort to find out someone's exact views rather than putting them in a slot or hitting back fast with a vapid insult.

A closet Catholic huh? Catholics are after me because I'm one of the few Unitarians around who has a very high regard for their faith and wants to know everything about it. They think I should just make it offcial and convert. Who knows? I ever get over my problem with authority I just may.
