Please add to breaking news. This is new to FR and of great interest to FReepers.

Tomorrow you will read about a family who had their children taken away because they had a "messy house"
I really bothers me that millions of extra tax payer dollars will be used to specially train and educate a "CULTURAL IDENTITY" that was purposely imposed on an innocent child.

Is it curious that this story, about a New Jersey gay couple, comes out of the London papers, and NOT a US paper....has anyone done a search?

...we've reached the bottom of the slippery slope Sorry, Notwithstanding, this is not the bottom. It's a heck of a long ride down from here. But I don't doubt that we'll get there soon enough.
This case is just the latest expression of "Identity Politics". These women see themselves as homosexual or deaf, not as human beings. Identity Politics always seeks to accentuate what divides people, and to put people into different groups. It is the "divide" portion of "divide and conquer". These women are so invested with the importance of being deaf that they cannot see anything else. It's a form of insanity, IMHO, and one that is becoming all the more common as one particular American political party makes identity politics a core value.

So long as they keep the boy out of evil organizations like the Boy Scouts, I don't see the problem. Sounds like the perfect liberal family.
On a related note, gays used to argue quite violently that it is completely genetic and they cannot be held "responsible" for their behavior. Now they are beginning to say that it's not all genetic. The NYT Science section had an article on this not too long ago. That's where the NYT hides all the politically incorrect reality, like the fact that the recent Antarctic meltings weren't caused by global warming.
I could have told them 25 years ago that the lesbian feminist professors at my college were telling their pretty female disciples they had to try lesbianism to prove they can "live completely w/o a man"
To paraphrase the two wackos in this article, I'm sure the gays Rosie is finding children for with her adoption agency will consider it a "special blessing" if the kids just happen to grow up gay.

Next week they will gouge the kids' eyes out with a spoon, just to show how much they love them.

Wouldn't this normally be called child-abuse? I mean, they intentionally caused harm to a child, right?

This is absolutely monstrous and evil. If ever there was a situation that cried out for making the children a wards of the state (pending adoption) -- and later helping them to file lawsuits akin to the increasingly popular "wrongful birth" actions -- this is the poster case.
Do any FReeper lawyers have views on who would have legal standing to initiate civil and criminal action in this case??

I saw a woman on TV years ago who had a deformity of the hands, and she kept having children, who all inherited the problem, and she was proud of herself. That was bad enough. This is another dimension. Actually sadism. Sadistic childbearing.
When Sonny Mehta became head of Knopf, the first book he published was Geek Love, a novel about a woman who takes all sorts of drugs with side effects when she's pregnant, purposely, so that she can have deformed children, who she thinks are special. One has a tail, etc. Now life imitates "art." I don't know whether to cry or smash something.

They want their children to share the same "experiences" including learning, sign language Did it ever occur to these morons that a hearing person can also learn sign language
These people are SICK!!!

I didn't think it was possible to get worse than Nazis. But the homosexual/identity politics axis has succeeded.
Once upon a time, everyone thought that the greatest potential abuse of genetic engineering was to create "perfect" babies -- strong, smart, healthy, attractive, etc -- but the Sapphites are now deliberately creating disabled babies instead. They actually make the Nazi eugenists look good by comparison. Sad.
I am reminded of certain beggars in India that deliberately amputate limbs from their children to gain sympathy and, of course, handouts of money. Is that, perhaps, what these women are really about? Is deliberate creation of disability the next wave in governmental dependence and social demands?

These two 'ladies' are already living perverted lives. Why should we be surprised when they prove how perverted they are in new and creative ways?

I felt like hitting the
Report Abuse button, but know that there is nothing I can do to report this
couple for their abuse.
...they decided against giving him a deaf aid in the one ear that still has some hearing, saying they will leave the decision to him when he is older.
This decision isn't being made on religious grounds, the typical reason cited for denying aid. They are deliberately hobbling this child. No better than the Eastern Europeans who break a kid's legs before sending him out on a career begging for money (you're damned if you do give because it only rewards the vicious parents, and you're damned if you don't give because the kids starve and get beaten for not eaning their keep).
Rush Limbaugh encountered this train of thought when he was seeking treatment for his deafness.

These ladies remind me of The Ellen James Society in John Irving's novel "The World According To Garp." These were women who cut out their tongues to protest the rape and mutilation of a young woman named Ellen James. The two key differences are that these ladies only mutilated themselves, and that they were fictional. Truth sometimes is stranger than fiction.

Ping!
These citizens are not waiting for a 'Handicapper-General' to level the playground.
They're taking the initiative to pre-cripple infants!
That's why American Socialism will work, while all other versions failed-- that 'can-do' spirit Americans exemplify.(sarcasm off)
