After their daughter's first hearing test, the couple wrote happily in her baby book: "Oct 11, 1996 - no response at 95 decibels - DEAF!'' Their daughter attends a special kindergarten for children with hearing problems. Anyone else besides me having a mental image of this child in a lawyer's office in about 15 years?

The really sad thing is that in about 10 years this deaf child gets to ask - "Mom, does this mean I could have been born able to hear the birds, Beethoven, and a babbling brook?"
Thanks Mom.

Was getting ready to post the same thought. Their reality check is just a few years away. What these sad human beings have done to justify their perversions is indefensible. Those poor, poor children.
