Eye Sore is psycho enough to try running (stumbling) again....
The truth is, one of the best-established facts in social psychology is that Republicans tend to have more formal education and higher IQs than Democrats. It's just that Republican philosophy is not churned out by crack-pot professors, the self-appointed guardians of the interests of 'da woikin' stiffs'. Oh wait, that was in the 50's when I was growing up. Now it's 'self-appointed guardians of certifiably oppressed racial groups, gays and lesbians.'
Hmm... Does Saturday Night Live have anyone who does a decent Gore impersonation? I'd love to see an update of that classic Dukakis After Dark skit!
Now THAT's funny! I agree (while holding my aching sides... thanks for the laugh!) - Holy Joe's whining could do to the terrorists what that Slim Whitman yodeling tune did to the aliens in Mars Attacks!
Conservatives should begin hoarding earplugs NOW. ;-)
Hit and run coward.
Later, he became the veep candidate and was against trumpeted as a man of convictions and integrity. Within days of getting the nomination, he flip-flopped on virtually every issue he had ever supported (school vouchers, etc.) that deviated in any way from the standard left-wing, big government, nanny-state liberalism that rules the Democratic Party. His honesty and integrity proved to be about as solid and deep as that of the townspeople in Mark Twain's great story, "The Man Who Corrupted Hadleyberg." All it took was the very first hint of temptation, and all their much-ballyhooed honesty was tossed overboard for personal gain.
You have to earn a reputation for integrity, you can't just have it bestowed on you by the media, and Lieberman proved by his words and deeds that he's just another hypocritical phony. So whatever he says in the future, disregard it. It's probably just whatever he thinks he needs to say to advance his career. I had enough of that from 1992 to 2000.
One of the funniest! Who could forget Ted Kennedy ogling over Kitty Dukakis, or Willie Horton dancing with Fawn Hall.
BTW: Said skit was a take off on "Playboy's Penthouse," a late night program hosted by Hugh Hefner that aired in the 50s/early 60s, I think.
