The Ultimate Response to the "Bush Knew" Smear (RNC please take note)
Source: Me | 05/17/2001 | By Laz

Posted on 05/17/2002 6:36:15 AM PDT by Lazamataz

Okay people, I don't usually write one-line vanities, but I have what I consider the Ultimate Rebuttal to the smear that Bush knew about September 11 in advance.

Osama bin Ladin bragged that not even all the hijackers
knew where they were really headed.

If the actual perpetrators didn't know what was going to happen,
HOW WAS GEORGE W. BUSH SUPPOSED TO KNOW?

There you are, kids. In two sentences, this horrible smear by the DNC is destroyed. Take it it, run with it, hit the airwaves, write letters to the editor, go on the radio, get this message out.

Hmmm....and I don't ordinarily take bragging rights (actually I do but that's another story) but I posted this observation on ANOTHER THREAD at 9:16 this morning, 20 minutes before your post.

Yeah, well I beat you both on this Thread at 5:45 a.m. this morning. Post #17 Ha!

Yeah, well, I thought of it second, and two is bigger than one, so I win numerically. (pout)

First things first:

Here's a Note to Activists:

Want to do something? Go here:

Ignorance Making You Ill? Cure It!

for links, tools, & instructions about how to contact a pile of different people, and how to send a link to this story right here ( or anywhere else ) to a "mass email" using Outlook Express.

Do be advised that since I increased my volume of mass emails to letters to editors I have gotten return vollies of virus attacks- my ISP filters them out before the get to my PC, but if yours does not, take appropriate precautions to guard your PC.

I take this as a positive- my emails are simply links with no editorial content; so the other side must fear & loath the information even reaching the public.

Finally, I'll mass email this right now...

Yeah, well I thought of this before 9/11, and I didn't warn President Bush! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Bush had info the low-level hijackers didn't have.

This Massouwi (sp) was taking flying lessons but not landing lessons. If one of the hijackers had known that he (Massouwi) was going to be flying the plane after the pilots were killed, it might have given that hijacker pause.

I seriously wonder if all this is not just wagging the dog.

Maybe the administration is saying, "hey don't worry about Homeland security. We have all the tools we need. We had them all along. Your trillions of tax dollars for intelligence didn't go down the toilet after all. We are more alert now. Don't worry. Be happy."

Oh, you are always first in my book, Laz. Besides, this point cannot be made often enough. So agreed, get it out there...

Congratulations on the whole love & marriage thing, by the way.

Great response for the troops, Laz...right on the money.

Anyone who thinks the President knew about 9-11 prior to its happening is dumb enough to qualify for membership in the Democrat Party.

However, we should not let our enthusiasm for refuting the stupidity of the Daschle Democrats deter us from doing a few critical things:

1. Clean out every last remnant of the Clinton crime organization from every corner of the government.

2. Do everything in our power to strengthen our national security.

3. Defeat every Democrat possible, since it is the Daschle Democrats who have done nothing for the last 30 years except work to weaken our national security.

4. Elect as many true conservatives to office as is humanly possible...people who understand that their primary duties are protecting the Constitution, and protecting the lives of American citizens.

It's way past time to make oaths of office mean something.

Life and Liberty BUMP!

I heard Chris 'Hardboiled' Matthews comparing it to 'What if FDR knew about Pearl Harbor?.

What leads Chris to believe that he didn't? It turned America around on the issue of "entering" the already active World War.

There has been evidence to suggest that diplomats were turned away and information was ignore regarding Pearl Harbor. Certainly more evidence to suggest that FDR had a more complete picture than President Bush could have possibly gathered even if a terrorist had spilled the beans on everything he knew.

This still didn't stop FDR from announcing his re-election campaign from a navy ship. But Bush offering contributors a photo of him on the phone???

"Dammit! I need to spend less time on this whole 'getting married' thing and more time thinking about rebuttals to the Democrat Smear Machine."

Don't sweat it, Lazz. You and Rush thought of it independently...great minds think alike.

I raise my mug of coffee in a toast: here's wishing you a happy weddeng, happier honeymoon, and very, VERY long and happy marriage.

A number of people (even on FR) have said that they would not have flown had an alert been issued. Great.

More people died in the WTC than died in all of the planes combined. Were 50,000 workers supposed to stay home for a couple of weeks? What about people working/visiting other undeclared "targets"?

It was a great terrorist operation

Oh yes, Lazamataz, just like most of the others in the past recent years. Blowing up a couple hundred Marines with that moving truck bomb was another genius operation, huh?

Besides, how could we possibly expect our massive intelligence agencies to figure out that a hugh, fuel filled, aircraft could ever be used as a weapon. Boy, who would ever think of that? That's really thinking out of the box, huh Laz?

I appropriated it from another poster yesterday and echoed it into a number of the threads (one of the few arguments that I have done so with). It is a good point though...
