Thanks, rintense! Got any Cheney pictures?

Cheney was awesome on MTP today. We don't see much of him, but whenever he comes out he gives such a feeling of confidence that he can handle any crisis. George W. made an excellent choice for his veep.

Cheney shows a lot of patience when dealing with his mental inferiors (and who isn't?).

For those who follow polls, the two polls taken since this story broke (one by Newsweek, the other *I think* by NBC) have GW's approval rating *up* by 2 and 1 points, respectively.

I have been thinking about the same possibility---500,000 people at the Indy 500. We will be in Indianapolis next weekend for a baby shower for my oldest daughter, and I can't help but worry a little.

My daughter lives in Fishers; is she near you?

Oh, please not the Indy. We are vulnerable in so many areas. Tonight I heard Orange County, CA has been warned their water supply could be threatened, some apartment complex in CA has been put on notice too, there was a thread on FR earlier about the possibility of a series of small nuclear explosions, etc., etc. I agree with the poster you mentioned. Let the administration throw this all out there and the Dems can figure it out and also have the job of preventing mass hysteria. It's absolutely ludicrous to think the government can predict what might happen in every square inch of this country.

Thank you for the VP pictures which reminded me about my snail mail. Yesterday I received Cheney's invitation to the President's Dinner. Anybody want to chip in for the $25,000 table for ten? I am definitely going to get the series of pictures. I plan to frame W's Air Force One picture, then mail it to Tom Daschle.

Rintense, thank you for providing this daily dose of encouragement for those of us who are "ground glass" supporters of President Bush and his superb team. These pictures and comments have provided me with a wonderful sense of peace and hope each evening. You are a jewel!

And yes, Cheney was awesome this morning on Meet the Press! Russert asked him about every accusation that's been made, and Cheney had cool, thoughtful, logical answers to each one. I thought the Democrats came out looking like fools!

I agree - frantic times at my household too. Just became a Great Aunt a few days ago; found out the new mother, my niece, and her husband have just been transferred to Texas (Marine). They have to be there by August 1.

Soooo, I'm discussing plans to move my 90 year old mother in with me. It won't be easy, but I'm not willing to allow my mother to live in some county home. She's quite agile for her age, and only needs help to do a few things.

Then, while visiting my son on Saturday, I learn he has been notified by his Pastor, David Ellis (who does all the music for Kenneth Copeland), to be prepared to do some of the children's meetings at the West Coast Believers Convention the first week of July. My son and his wife are children's pastors. I'm so excited for them.

So, besides planning for my mother, I'm also planning a vacation for the first week of July - because of course, I cannot stand the thought of not being there at the convention with them. This is the first vacation I have taken since last year when I went to Washington, D.C.

I'm concerned about the escalation of terrorist warnings today. Not sure if things are more threatening than normal, or the administration has decided to give the Dems enough warnings to stifle any future criticism.

One thing this past week has showed me is that if there is another attack the dems and WH press will be quick to place the blame on the Bush admin. And now that some seeds of doubt have been placed regarding 9/11 people may be quick to believe it. I hope I'm wrong on this.

The info I received in the mail says make your $150 check payable to "The 2002 President's Dinner" (for personal contributions). In return you receive a "specially commissioned, limited-edition, numbered, three photograph series, The First Year". The check should be mailed to:

The 2002 President's Dinner
P.O.Box 1721
Washington DC 20077-4624

If you need information on any of the other contribution levels, let me know and I'll send it to you.

You would think with all the talk of alerts and warnings. Broadcast and Cable news would have a permanent icon on the screen that shows what color the HomeLand Security Alert is and a toll-free phone # or web address to log into to see what the latest warnings or FYI kind of info.

It's one thing for the news folk to talk about it but no one is really equiping the public of what they can do or what we are facing.

Yes, we can all see that if anything at all happens, the Dems and the press will try to pin it on the President, as if somehow he can personally guard the entire country 24/7.
