The Battle Hymn of Al Gore

The Al Gore Battle Hymn

To the Tune of the "Horst Wessel Song"

NOTE: Horst Wessel joined the Nazi party in 1926. He was killed (probably degenerate communists, but possibly his girfriend's pimp or former boyfriend) in a fight in his filthy squalid rooms in Berlin. Glorified as a martyr to the Nazi cause, his song became the official Nazi anthem.

Poor Albert Gore
A martyr to injustice
Poor Albert Gore
Can't be our president.

They did not count the chads and mis-marked ballots there, so
Poor Albert Gore , he lost and it's not fair.
They did not let the Palm Beach voters vote again, or
Extend the time, to gather up more votes.

Gangway! Gangway!
Now for disgruntled masses
The jackass is
The symbol of our fight!

Let's kick and buck and make obnoxious sounds of braying
And plant our hooves, and hackle up our fur
Those black-robed thieves on the Supreme Court shackled us to
George Dubya Bush, but we won't pull his load!

They called us names
And taunted us with placards!
And worst of all
Was "Sore Loserman".

Their vast right wing conspiracy took to the streets and
Told Albert Gore to leave Dick Cheney's house.
They would not let us move the boxes with the ballots
From room to room without going along.

But we took names
And we will not forget them!
Their lack of trust.
Their blatant disrespect.

But Comrades all, in a Rainbow Coalition will
Shout loud and proud, to Dubya "This is War!"
Yes we will shout, proclaiming long and loudly that THIS
IS WAR - Al GORE - TWO THOUSAND FOUR!

This song is easier to sing if you print it out, hold it in front of your eyes and march in a goosestep. (Be careful not to run into walls.) If some technofreeper could pop a wav. or mp3 file here with the tune I would appreciate it. Every martyr ought to have his song. parsy.

Priceless, as always, Parsy!

BTW, love the quip about running into the walls. That's exactly what those cretins have been doing for nearly two years now.

We have this on Free Britannia:

The Battle Hymn of Albert Gore - (to the tune of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic")

Chorus:Mine eyes have seen the tedium
Of the coming of Al Gore
He is looking rather stupid
And as stiff as an oak board
He probably thinks he's Alpha
When he's Beta ever more
But his tedium marches on.

Tedium, tedium, I'm now sleeping
Time is just slowly creeping
I think I'd rather see
Bush and Dick Cheney
To stop tedium marching on...

I have seen him on the campaign
Look how to and fro he tramps!
He'd lie about being dry
If his undershorts were damp
He knew a thing called "truth" once
Till his brain got in a cramp
His falsehoods blunder on.

Tedium, tedium, I'm now sleeping
God, how the time is creeping!
I know I'd rather see
Bush and Dick Cheney
But his tedium marches on!

See him pander to the left wing
All through the day and through the night
If you give the boy enough dough
He might even say he'll fight
But if he gets elected
He'll be a public parasite
And his tedium will march on!

Tedium, tedium, I'm now sleeping
Like a snail, time is creeping
Please God let me see
Bush and Dick Cheney
And stop this tedium marching on!

Best Regards, Ivan

We know you will forgive us, Ives, if we would rather parody, mock, scorn and deride the world's once most dangerous dullard, Goreleoni, to the tune of a Eurotrash fascist's fantasy for fugelhorn, than to that of one of Our Beloved FRaternal Republic's most sacred hymns?

Why not do both - surely there is enough room for using both songs.

That was hilarious! I love it! And to think that I was told the English did not have a sense of humor. BTW, have you ever encountered any of our Regimental Ballads posted here from time to time? parsy.

Whoever told you that obviously didn't watch Monty Python. Ever. ;)

Beautiful, simply beautiful!

I cried.

But I am forced to admit they were tears of laughter.
