"May all who hate Zion be put to shame and turned backward, Let them be like grass upon the housetops, which withers before it grows up." -- Ps. 129:4-5

"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you. Maybe peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces. For the sake of my brothers and my friends, I will now say, 'May peace be within you.' For the sake of the house of the Lord our God I will seek your good." -- Ps. 122:6-9

Prayers for the children of Israel to keep them safe.

Genesis 12:3 -- I will bless those who bless you and I will curse those who curse you.

God is in control, now and always.

Amen.

Can we also please pray for the Arab Christians caught in the middle?

I see on the other threads the consideration of Israeli nuclear action against such targets as Beirut and Damascus if Syria steps in to the conflict. My own Orthodox Christian Patriarch resides in Damascus, and there are numerous Orthodox seminaries and monasteries in Lebanon. Please remember the suffering Christians of these lands in your prayers.

Christ Bless.

Yes, pray indeed, for as we can see the results of man's work is less than impressive.

Pray for Israel....

I do pray for Israel... the TRUE Israel of God - His church. I also pray for national Israel that they would repent of their sins and trust in the true Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. There will be no peace in the middle east until the Prince of Peace is recognized. We, as evangelical Christians should know that.

So when we pray, let's pray from a Biblical standpoint. We must pray for the evangelization of all of the middle east. For our blessed Lord commanded us to go into all the world making disciples. We can do no less for the Arab than we do for the Jew. For the Jew has no special standing before God in the New Testament age. The only special standing before God is in the person and work of the Messiah - the Lord Jesus Christ. And that is available to all peoples no matter what your heritage. Now that's Biblically correct and theologically sound.

It is heartening to finally read a post of a person that clearly has the gift of discernment. Your not just quoting "chosen" Bible scripture to fit Your beliefs as many others do. God Bless You.

Are you saying that the Church has replaced Israel? That the Church has taken Israel's place in the covenants that He established with Israel? That God has no further use for the nation Israel?

Amen. We should pray for the salvation of those living in Israel. It's like the bumper sticker says: "No Jesus, no peace. Know Jesus, know peace."

Amen. For them, and for the rest of us that will be drawn in to the conflict.

Please remember the suffering Christians of these lands in your prayers.

John 17:7 Now they know that everything that thou hast given me is from thee; 8 for I have given them the words which thou gavest me, and they have received them and know in truth that I came from thee; and they have believed that thou didst send me. 9 I am praying for them; I am not praying for the world but for those whom thou hast given me, for they are thine; 10 all mine are thine, and thine are mine, and I am glorified in them.
11 And now I am no more in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name, which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. 12 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name, which thou hast given me; I have guarded them, and none of them is lost but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now I am coming to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them thy word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15 I do not pray that thou shouldst take them out of the world, but that thou shouldst keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 Sanctify them in the truth; thy word is truth. 18 As thou didst send me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be consecrated in truth.
20 "I do not pray for these only, but also for those who believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

Are you saying that the Church has replaced Israel? That the Church has taken Israel's place in the covenants that He established with Israel? That God has no further use for the nation Israel?

Ro 4:13 - The promise to Abraham and his descendants, that they should inherit the world, did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith.
Ro 9:8 - This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are reckoned as descendants.
Eph 3:6 - that is, how the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
Heb 9:15 - And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
Gal 3:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Romans 9:24 even us whom he has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles?
25 As indeed he says in Hose'a, "Those who were not my people I will call 'my people,' and her who was not beloved I will call 'my beloved.'" 26 "And in the very place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' they will be called 'sons of the living God.'" 27 And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: "Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will be saved; 28 for the Lord will execute his sentence upon the earth with rigor and dispatch." 29 And as Isaiah predicted, "If the Lord of hosts had not left us children, we would have fared like Sodom and been made like Gomor'rah." 30 What shall we say, then? That Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness have attained it, that is, righteousness through faith; 31 but that Israel who pursued the righteousness which is based on law did not succeed in fulfilling that law. 32 Why? Because they did not pursue it through faith, but as if it were based on works.

Mt 21:43 - Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation producing the fruits of it."
