The code was in the company books.
According the evidence presented, he didn’t put the expense in the books at all. That was done by the accountants, by testimony, on their own decision (presumably as they saw it was obviously a legal expense). I haven’t heard the prosecution state what the accounting code should have been instead.

You followed the part of the trial where Pecker paid for McDougal’s story despite knowing it was false? That is the in-trial part of her trying to get paid for story and trying to get Cohen and Pecker to bid against one another.
Pecker also related (under a non-prosecution agreement) that AMI used these collected stories to get paid by celebrities or induce them to participate in their magazine in exchange for killing the stories.

What a coincidence! The only time he ever recorded Trump just happens to be in a case that is brought 7 years later about that very thing! What are the odds?
Actually it appears to be in a different case - one where it is known that Trump was being extorted: McDougal’s. It does not have direct relevance to the Daniels case.

So Trump discussed how to dispense with McDougal’s false claims, but no discussion of the situation at hand, which isn’t illegal in any case. Talk about trying to muddy the waters.
No. I just watched him at the debates. He comes across as thoughtful and succinct. Two good qualities, but not so much for a candidate running a campaign.
The Clintons’ interrelations with this scandal was a substantial part - included reported forced extraction from prisoners in Arkansas. Canada had its own large trail of victims as well.
The article states they are including ‘liquid’ assets as well as investments. They are not including real estate. Roth IRAs would appear to qualify as liquid, as would 401Ks after 59-1/2.

If you’re a millionaire, you’re likely to have several homes.
Or just be nearing retirement or recently retired. Lots of basic tradesmen with a single residence have accumulated that much wealth (not counting the residence).
A good chunk of the trial has nothing to do with what he’s on trial for.
And to date, it is not clear what he is on trial for...legally speaking. Practically speaking, it is clear he is on trial each for being Trump, and for being a potential Presidential election victor.

I don’t see his persona as off-putting, just not attractive. He’s there, says some interesting things once in a while, but appears to be nothing much more than an extra.

Burgum seems like a decent, competent, knowledgeable guy...but he’s a quiet personality that gets lost in the wash. Lots of positions he could probably do well, but broadly campaigning alongside a presidential candidate doesn’t seem to be one of them.
