Thanks Fritzy! Yes, months down the road the victims will need our help more than ever. I've bookmarked Samaritans Purse to make a future donation. My heart breaks for these poor people. I'm waiting for "hollyweird" to assemble and step up to the plate. I guess I won't hold my breath though.

Hollywood/Stars?? will be out..they will ramp up a huge media campaign.. then after incredible expenses give their remaining dollars without any thought of strong investigation and follow up.. it will be as most of their events.. to spotlight their generosity and their names....

Let's just hope that something happens in Aruba today... I think Joran is due in court.. will check in at noon ..

Before I get flamed, I am very concerned about the people in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, etc. as well as their property. I am simply requesting that we try to keep the Natalee Holloway thread a seperate thread.

Keesler Air Force base has survived a direct hit by a Hurricane Katrina a Category 4 hurricane. Initial assessment shows extensive damage to our industrial and housing areas. We are deploying assessment crews and are in contact with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and with commanders of many military bases who have offered assistance. The damage is severe enough that we are unable to leave our shelters until Thursday at the earliest in order to assure our recovery teams have cleared debris and made it safe for us and our families to return home. Brigadier General Lord and your leadership promises to keep you apprised of the progress of our recovery teams and release you to go home and assess your own damage as soon as it is safe for your family to travel. All pets at the Keesler pet shelter are in good health and weathered this extremely dangerous storm safely. We are doing everything within our power to clear the way and provide the best immediate and long term assistance to help each one of us in order to recover from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Beth is too astute to leak accidently and considering it is said to be in regard to the girl that came forward (thus helping Natalie's case)... to then leak the girl's identity is hurtful and cruel. It does not seem possible that Beth would do such a thing. She of all people knows how hurtful the press, gossip and people in general can be.

The MSM hasn't reported the truth about how many are dead. It was announced earlier that the homeless survivors are being transfered from the Superdome in N.O. to the Astrodome in Houston. The Astrodome isn't in used much anymore since Reliant Center was built.

I think the purpose is to diminish the evidence against those arrested for the most recent suspicions and to tone down anything coming from the Holloway/Twitty camp. Threatening to have Beth's adjoiner revoked would mean they could not receive all the evidence in the case once it is completed. It would also, quite possibly, mean that they would no longer inform her of anything rom here on out.

Another site has people posting to the affect that one of the Kalpoes' lawyers is considering a lawsuit against ALE for the return of the the Kalpoe stuff...specifically Deepak's computer. I don't think that will go very far.

Almost sounds like the Kalpoe lawyers are squirming a bit more now.

The whole aruba machine seems to be based on discrediting the victim/victim's family. I think they are feeling more then desperate. A lot of people would wilt under what Beth has been through, she (and the rest of the family) only seem to grow more determined.

We all realize and yet none of us (that I've seen) has commented on the proximity of the Twitty family to the hurricane. As if they don't have enough going on, and now this. I don't know when Beth was due to return to Aruba, but I hope this won't deter it for too long.

I was wondering, I don't know enough about where they are or Dave to know what was hit. I thought Beth was back in Aruba, but don't know that as fact.

I don't know about Birmingham, but Meridian (where Dave lives) got some pretty bad weather. Meridian is about 80 miles due east of Jackson, Ms which is the area where Malichi lives. My son goes to school at Meridian Community College. Right now there are a lot of power outages and some tress down. The local paper has a website at:

They're so overwhelmed down there ... right now their main focus is on rescuing the survivors. They probably won't know the death counts for quite awhile and the number will go up as time goes on, as they're cleaning up the mess.
